Honestly, awful experience both times I have been. I don’t like to be negative but it’s disappointing how poor my experiences were all because of the same 2 people. First time I went, the gym was way too crowded and not enough space in that gym. I love CrossFit and I love working out at Evolve North because it’s open, everyone is so friendly, and there is a sense of community there. But at South I was yelled at for even thinking about touching someone’s “custom” barbell.. then I was approached to move out of this couples way because their WOD was more important then mine. That same couple nagged me my entire workout to pick up my stuff and move so they could workout. They sit in the corner and judge and criticize everyone at the gym and it’s really disgusting behavior considering who I found out they were after the fact. They are business owner of Regnant Strength and they run classes out of evolve. It was just very immature behaviour for 2 people in their thirties and as business owners. I love CrossFit and I love evolve but I would highly recommend that anyone thinking about joining Regnant Strength, DON’T. Evolve South, please remove Regnant from your facility, it’s hurting your business having those two immature children in there belittling everyone. It’s embarrassing to CrossFit and to Evolve’s brand. I will not be working out at evolve south as long as those two are there and I highly recommend everyone at evolve south go to North or downtown. No one needs that kind of arrogance and negativity in there life.

I will never step foot in this gym again in my life now! What you guys are doing is not okay man I have emailed saying that Samuel Utz is bullying me and you guys are doing nothing about it!!! No response from anyone saying “oh, god” are you okay??? How inhumane is that?

Power lifters dream! It has a lot of equipment that suits power lifters. But as a woman I love a pretty gym. This gym was really ugly with literal milk crates used to store equipment. Most of the equipment is free weights which wouldn't be ideal for beginners. There was no air conditioning and the back door was wide open with a huge loud fan going. Flies were coming in to the gym. Barely any cardio equipment...
I will say people were very friendly, at least.
Not for me at all. But if you're a power lifter who doesn't mind not having any of the 'frills' this could be for you!

I have been going to the south side gym for about 6 weeks now. I am in my sixties and was a little hesitant to go into a gym first of all as my body required some TLC in how I was going to move forward in strengthening myself after multiple surgeries and also my age as well. I wasn't really overweight but I have been inactive for a fairly long period of time. The gym is amazing but what is more amazing is that I have a personal trainer that has been working with me during this time. Kyle has been very considerate of my personal situation and has but programs together that fit my capabilities. Over this time I have learned proper techniques and I have seen significant improvement without the pain. My old philosophy was if it doesn't hurt when you exercise it must not be working. Wrong!
Kyle is all of a personal trainer in the sense that he takes his role seriously and will adapt to meet your needs whether you're 20 or 60 years old. If you're looking to have a healthy body whatever that means to you from building strength, flexibility, endurance or muscle I highly recommend that you see Kyle and I don't do recommendation unless I believe them to be 100% accurate. Cheers to all! Mike

This facility is undoubtedly the epitome of excellence when it comes to strength and conditioning. It is truly exceptional, specifically designed to cater to the needs of Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting enthusiasts. As a free weights gym, it provides a stimulating environment for you to customize and adapt your workouts accordingly. This aspect also serves as a means to push yourself and embrace the challenge of each day's workout regimen. Notably, the absence of mirrors within the facility cultivates a sense of heightened focus, allowing you to prioritize the refinement of your form rather than being preoccupied with self-observation.

Best gym in the city for strength training hands down. Matt Lee and the rest of the staff are incredible. This gym (and franchise) is a breath of fresh air compared to the saturated big box gyms that aren't very accommodating for people who want to train for weightlifting, powerlifting, CrossFit, strongman or non traditional forms of strength training.

South location is a very bare bones gym especially since they’re charging 33 biweekly now. Mostly free weights, few benches and the only machines being a leg extension, hamstring curl, and leg press. Great gym if you’re a powerlifter as they’re fully equipped for competitive lifting, but if you’re a normal lifter or bodybuilding then I recommend facilities with more space and equipment. Also VERY loud as it’s essentially one room with speakers playing music and heavy weights being dropped.

Good facility. Friendly staff. Coach Chris Liddle is a huge motivation for me to coming to this gym. He is the reason I workout and get healthier.
Chris is very professional and motivated in your health as much as you.
He is very focused during workouts. He does not spend time chitchatting or focus on anything other than workouts. He believes personal trainer is a premium service and he provides his services as such. You get what you hire him for. I really respect his discipline during workouts.
He has a flexible schedule which helps a lot. I have been having good results while working out with him. Chris calibrates the workouts based on my strengths, weaknesses and health goals. Workouts are always fun with Chris.
For me starting working out was very difficult habit to cultivate. Chris made it easier to instill a activity habits in daily routine.
Chris is the best.
