Cashier would not update the lower price of the sticker on the shelf then what the cash register showed. He said it was because of taxes. Prices on shelves do not include taxes before the subtotal. Where did he learn that ? There is no customer service at this Freshco.

After reading through these reviews, I can see that I have the same issue as many other FreshCo customers - the treatment from ANITA at the self checkouts. She had some serious issues yesterday with me wanting to use valid non-expired coupons. I’m not mad about not being able to use the coupons, I would have been able to in the end but after how this cashier yelled at me in the middle of the store, I left without buying those items and will go elsewhere. I don’t know who this person thinks she is, but sounds like I am NOT the first customer she has screamed at. I will not be letting this go. Anita - if you’re reading this - please make an effort to go get some help, your anger is out of control. If you don’t want to work with customers, then get a different job. The customers paying for groceries in the store are the reason you have a job and there is never any justification for yelling at them in the middle of the store. There is never any justification for you to accuse customers of stealing when you have no evidence or just cause and there is never any justification for you to grab anything from any customer’s hand. PERIOD. And to the owner/manager of this store - get your head out of the sand. It’s VERY clear that this employee is a problem. How many customers will she drive away from your store before you do something about it?? Open your eyes. There are plenty of other grocery stores in this city so if you would like to keep your’s open, I would recommend some due diligence when it comes to employee/customer relations. The disrespect from this individual (Anita) is UNACCEPTABLE. Also… if you prescribe to the Canadian Scanning Accuracy Program and have stickers displayed in your store advertising that you do, you are OBLIGATED to follow that code. If you advertise that you price match to certain stores, although you can limit the number of items matched, you are still OBLIGATED to follow that offer. If you have a coupon policy, you are OBLIGATED to follow that policy and train your employees as such. If you have a business license in the province of Alberta, you are OBLIGATED and legally responsible to maintain health and safety within your store. Alberta Occupational Health and Safety can confirm for you - if you are unaware - that you are obligated to have and maintain a violence and harassment policy and that no employee is permitted to scream at a customer in the store for any reason, or otherwise harass them - ever PERIOD. Again, your customers are the reason you have a business and they will only tolerate this treatment for so long before they shop elsewhere.

Usually this is my favourite place to shop but today is not the day. Its only 8am ,the store just got opened, but the lady at the checkout , i guess was done for the day because of attitude she showed me just because I had my scene card number not the scan thing …the way she behaved when i told her that I’m sorry but I just have the Number not the scan thing was so not acceptable. If you don’t wanted to work or if you are gonna carry such bitchy attitude, then just don’t work in the mornings specifically. Because people are starting their day tooo.. and tolerating this kind of bitchy attitude is not acceptable… U’r not paying for my groceries here. Well, She spoiled my day before it even started. Thanks

i got accused of stealing but maybe if the girl standing 2 feet away from me did her job she would’ve saw me pay then got embarrassed when she realized she was wrong and said i wasn’t welcome to use self serve anymore.

I am a person who avoids discount stores etc but I needed to go the medical lab and stopped in Freshco for the first time
I am very surprised at my naivety. There is a very wide selection, with prices I haven't seen in years. The staff were very helpful and the shelves were well stocked and the store was clean.

I went to the dollarstore to grab some things , and went to freshco to grab the rest of my groceries and as soon as I went in, I got accused of stealing when I pulled out my receipt to show her she still got mad and kicked me out. racist ass people

Was originally coming here to pick up some vegetables for a soup I was making, the produce definitely looked a bit rough and not the best quality. I ended up having to go to a different store for them, which was just really disappointing.
Out of no where, I got accused of stealing items after using the self checkout by this older woman, who I assume was the manager. No clue why the hell she would think that cause she literally watched me scan them. She was incredibly unprofessional and combative right from the start of our interaction.
This behaviour is totally unacceptable and completely uncalled for, didn't even get an apology.
Considering my experience here, this will be my first and last visit here.
1 star is much too good for this place, 0 stars if it were possible.

Manager on shift very rude I had bags in my stroller that has snacks for my son in it . We’re not purchased at this store or even today I just keep them in a reusable bag as it’s convenient. Was stopped and harrased by store manager with glasses and curly hair saying I needed to come to the check out before shopping to get a sticker on my bags. If it was a big deal to have bags in the store they should have someone at the entrance giving these stickers . Not harassing me as I’m leaving the store as you do not have the infant d drops I was looking for . Very unprofessional and he decided to argue with me when I suggested to put a bag sticker person at the front door .
