I come into this store pretty often and have been for a while, and recently it’s just felt uncomfortable. There’s a woman who I’m assuming is the manager since she seems to be in charge, and since i’ve noticed she’s new. The atmosphere has changed. I’ve noticed she doesn’t really help customers and mostly just talks sharply to staff on the floor. I’ve overheard her speaking rudely to employees in front of customers, which makes shopping awkward. Any time I’ve needed help, I’ve been met with impatience, while the employees themselves are still polite and trying their best. Overall, the vibe has gone downhill, and it’s disappointing compared to how it used to be. I will be continuing my garage shopping somewhere else.

I used to love this location but recently a new hire (I assume she is a manager which is very shocking and unfortunate but whatever, shes older with short red hair) has ruined my experience at this Garage. The girls are always super sweet and helpful on the floor, they're always talkative and personable, but the past 3 times I've come in I've seen this new girl manager and I noticed the girls were all weirdly tense and almost scared of her. I watched her yell at an employee and go around like a hawk carefully watching every single employee with a mean look. She was very rude when I asked for a size and didn't even help me out, she got a busy employee to drop what she was doing to find the size for me. She brings a bad vibe to the store that even customers can pick up on. Do better

Terrible location with a terrible manager. Spent some time with my daughter in this store looking for items for Christmas gifts. The girl in the change room area was wonderful by the way. When I went to purchase a few items and put a few on hold I was told I couldn’t hold item till the next day. I have always been able to do this in the past at this location as I prefer to not buy my Christmas present in front of the person I’m buying for. In a world where I can sit on my couch and buy anything I want or go to the store down the hall ( Aritzia) you made my decision very easy. I’m writing this review in Aritzia as my daughter shops. I won’t be back to this location

The current advertising is super concerning for a brand thats supposed to be for teenagers, theres absolutely no need to sexualize young girls and have them do the splits and bend over to show themselves off from behind. Super disappointed as to where the brand has gone

Bought an $80 hoodie thats falling apart after 1 washing. Their solution is drive back 6 hrs to return it. Terrible quality at bougey prices. Go to Hollister, Gap, Abercrombie same price miles better quality and customer service. If you're going to sell clothes you should learn how to sew 😡

Garage is my fav store and I usually don’t go to this location, now that I have, never coming back again. The staff were not welcoming and just ignored customers, one customer asked for help and got ignored, saw it happen. As I was ready to pay for my things, two girls were just talking almost like gossiping about something while the girl at the register was helping people out. So instead of helping their co worker, they were just talking almost for a while I was just standing there with my things. So disappointed, recommend to go to the one at West Edmonton Mall instead, better customer service.

Wish I could give it zero! Staff were super rude and judgemental. The return policy is unclear and super strict. My shirt was perfectly clean and returned a day after purchase, denied instantly. Terrible store, go somewhere else

I want to give half a star if i could. 2 staff in dressing room area were very immature stairing and giving people dirty looks and whispering. From an outer persepctive. I couldnt believe employees in customer service could belittle and make fun of others trying on clothes. . My daughter has also experienced it here ; so surprise surprise. I suggest going to another garage not south gate garage.

Worst experience i went there and selected four things and asked cashier for total first
And she told me total and i asked price for each thing and she told me there are tags u can see the price..
She had curly hair and piercings i saw her first time there and her face was so rude like i didn’t even wanna pay her
Not going there ever again and will sugget my frnds n family to never purchase from southgate garage store

Absolutely disgusting store service. The staff is very rude and displeasing to deal with. One person will tell you one thing and another will tell you something completely different. You would expect the manager to be of help but instead she creates more confusion and is overall obtuse and not helpful in the least. Terrible environment created by staff. I was hoping the clothing design would measure up to the rudeness you have to endure to buy it, however I was sadly disappointed by simple and elementary design choices.

asked a staff member if they had a certain item in a small or medium instead of an xs. girl with green hair was incredibly rude. basically sighed when I asked if she could check. store ipod showed they had it in another size. she went to the back and then disappeared. waited 5 minutes and then saw her helping somebody else. not a fan of shopping at a place that employs the mean girl type. do better Garage.

I like the clothes selection, they usually have more and newer items compared to other garages BUT I hate coming here because the employees are always so miserable to deal with. They are rude, it's like they haven't been taught basic training of working in retail. The only employee who didn't make me want to leave was Nekesha, she was very nice and welcoming!!

This is probably the worst experience I've had with a store yet. If you have to order from here, please buy in person.On December 3rd, I placed an order for 1 Miley Cami in White (M). I placed the order for pickup at this location and got an estimated time for when it would arrive. After over a week, I decided to go to this location and ask about my order, to which they said that I should contact customer service. Nothing wrong with that, until they told me that it may take another week for them to reply. Then when I decided to go back a few days later, the employees were different and much more helpful.The issue is the fact that a few days ago, out of nowhere, Garage actually TOOK money out of my bank account. They gave me a refund on December 10, and I assumed that they gave the refund as an apology for waiting basically 2 weeks for the package. So not only I had to wait almost 2 weeks for a package that was supposed to come in a few days, but I never got an actual refund or any compensation whatsoever. And with them constantly having different employees basically everyday, it was annoying trying to tell them my problem every single time.
