“If you thought the selection at Wayne’s before was unbeatable, you haven’t seen anything until you check out their new location, it’s incredible and is even conveniently located in the same shopping area! (Beside the Italian Centre in West Edmonton).

It feels twice as big as their previous location when you walk in, the service is immaculate and super friendly and helpful as always. Whether it be Hockey/Baseball/Football, to Pokémon, to Funko’s and supplies, their selection is second to none in the Country, and there’s even a wicked spot for people to rip packs and hangout while they do it which is a cool way to trade/buy or just meet others in the hobby!

In my experience over the years, if Wayne’s doesn’t have it, chances are you won’t be finding it, it’s a perfect one stop shop for all things Hobby, so save yourself a few trips and check out Wayne’s at their new location!”

“First time visiting this business, and I have to say that staff like Taylor make for a perfect introduction. On top of a quick introduction into the madness involved with the birds, there's also a number of amazing mother's day gift options located here. Check out the window savers!”

“Very friendly, clean, and open. Owner has great "Gamer Mom" energy, very welcoming. Prices are comparable or possibly slightly lower than other game stores in the city and the atmosphere is way better than several. My only advice about going there is park in the parking lot to the north side of the building and walk around to the entrance. They have very little parking directly in front, and getting in and out isn't great with the traffic, but that's not their fault, it's the builders. There is lots of parking just around the corner on the north side of the building. Still totally five stars for the store and staff.”

“If ever you are looking for power tools or accessories for anything woodworking-related come here. Don't waste your time with a big box store. Canadian Woodworker has what you need and the staff have knowledge of how to use it.”

“Our Indigenous Employee Resource Group elected to offer a craft kits to employees in recognition of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation this year. Having decided on a craft, the challenge was to find a vendor to supply the materials. Linda has been amazing to deal with in helping select the materials (based on a photo) and supplying the materials. The number of kit requests has far exceeded our expectations and Linda has been able to meet our requirements. Thank you for your support during this pilot endeavour.”

“Nice, friendly ,...bit dark inside and it seemed no one wanted to come out from behind the desk and show us any great products , I told them we were first timers in there and he didn’t seem to want to take advantage of that or even show us around - kind of adult boys there that have not grown up from their toys-
and wow in that smallish square store is packed in a " collection of collections"...I am talking about a huge collection of many of your favourite popular trading cards, horror stories memorabilia , Movie collectables, Star Trek stuff (and probably some Star Wars stuff too ( very crowded),
rock n' roll stuff, collectables .. some stuff is kind of knickknack like mugs and T-shirts but I'm sure there's something there for every collector. Don't get me wrong. I do love these types of stores.
Unfortunately, though, they had no idea how to point us in a direction to help us find another store /place that bought Pokémon cards
still - but he sure wanted to talk about magic the gathering !”

“Taps Games is undeniably one of the best card shops in the city. Easily accessible, popular and always seems to be open, there is no other card shop I'd recommend to people looking to get into something or meet others interested.

That being said, Taps still has a few wrinkles that needs ironing out.

With the shop being one of the most popular, all it takes is you unknowingly coming in during a card sets release to be met with a huge lineup. Whilst they have the staff to support the crowd, having only 2 tills open at maximum definitely hinders the speed of lines.

They also tend to specialize in Magic, Pokémon and Warhammer. As much as those are the most popular things in tabletop gaming, finding things that don't align with them can tend to be difficult.

Despite those minor qualms, Taps Games is still the place I recommend first and foremost and will happily stop by to play and purchase games as I already have been doing nearly every week.”
