I have always loved this place! I brought my boyfriend as he's never been to Lee Valley. Needless to say, as an engineer and general tinkerer, he was elated! Richard, one of the knowledgeable employees there, helped us and engaged us in some really good conversation. As i said, this place rules over all!

If you want to buy tools or parts, search at Lee Valley first. Usually cheaper there. Recently I wanted to replace an electrical rocker switch in my carpert cleaner. $5 at Lee Valley. $10 at Canadian. >$10 at Home Depot. >$6 at Amazon.

THE NICEST PEOPLE WORK HERE!!!
I love to drop in here every chance I get, whether I have a shopping list, or just to browse. They welcome pets on leashes, and my dog loves the interesting smells too.
Lee Valley offers the convenience of online ordering with curbside pickup, but then you lose the window shopping opportunity, as well as the chance to interact with the amazing staff.
These folks are so friendly and helpful, know their products so well, and I never feel bad because of my ignorance.
The showroom is well-stocked, spacious layout, bright and clean.
Lee Valley's products are often unique, mostly high-end high-quality. Returns are easy.
Lots of free parking
If you've never visited, you'll love Lee Valley and the GREAT people here!

I just received a pair of “Icers” to slip onto my walking shoes. Package arrived a few days after I placed my order. Very good service!!!I took my dog for a walk wearing the Icers…..very, very impressed. I have large feet so hard to find a product that works. Theses stay in place a I am able to walk quite normal. After a hard fall on the ice a week ago, this product will save me more pain!!!! Thanks Icers and Lee Valley.

I bought a saw stop online and it told me I could only pick up instore. When I called to set up a pick up time. I was told I would have to drive in pay for delivery then drive home and wait for delivery, 2 hour trip for me. I told them to cancel the order. I found this transaction very sketchy on their end. My family owns a delivery company and that who was moving the saw for me. Marson equipment 5 min away was able to actually sell me the saw with out making me waist money on stuff that I did not need, or make me drive 2 hour to pay for delivery.I always had good things to say about lee valley but this Transaction has ruined that for me.

I am a long time customer of Lee Valley and it is my favorite store for wood working tools and other curiosities. I was introduced to Lee Valley by my uncle. He was a career carpenter, wood worker and inventor. He was a Head carpenter and Lead Set Designer for the CBC until he retired about 20 years ago.He is now 85 years old and his health is failing him. He and my aunt have moved into an assisted living home. As a result of the move he had to sell off the treasure trove of tools (many of them bought from Lee Valley) that he spent a lifetime amassing. He'll never admit it, but I think it broke his heart. I remember the hours we spent together cleaning, maintaining, sharpening, oiling, and using those tools to create things; that just blew my mind.About 15 years ago he came from Newfoundland to visit me in Edmonton, and we went to the Lee Valley store (He had only ever bought online). When we left I bought a Lee Valley baseball cap and gave it to him. He wears it daily and according to my aunt, it was his prized possession (but it was in poor condition).Last year I went to the local store to get another hat to replace the well worn one. I was told that Lee Valley does not carry those hats any longer.I reached out Lee Valley customer service asking if perhaps there might be some old stock of the original Lee Valley ball caps. I was willing to pay whatever they would ask just to make my uncle, a dear man who introduced me to my love of building, carving, and woodworking, happy at Christmas?I received a response from Mr. Rob Lee, President of Lee Valley. Not only did he find me the hat, but he signed it and sent it to my uncle at no cost. This company desserves loyal customers because they are loyal to their customers. Merry Christmas Mr. Lee.

I have been member for years and love there Products. But I bought a Kreg Pocket - Hole Jig K4 and they knew I was going to BC they should have given me some friendly advice not to take it on carry on because security confiscated the drill bit and Robertson bit.So I had to replace it which costed more money. The only reason I bought it because was on sale.End of the day I didn’t save a penny.Attention Lee Valley Customers don’t take Sharp things on carry on.(plane)Mine was drill bit and a Robertson bit which was sealed in a box which was confiscated.
