Lina is the best salesperson ever—she gave me an unbelievable deal! The store manager, Ozzy, is also fantastic. Overall, it’s a great team with excellent customer service. I’m one happy customer!

I'm super disappointed. A year or two ago I got a beautiful promise ring for my partner and we were so happy an excellent ring for the price point. Naturally we came here to do an updated sizing for an engagement ring. We haven't looked at styles and aren't ready to buy but we wanted to know our sizes and look around at the store that served us well before. The sales repres immediately tried to sell us a 7000 ring without sizing us properly (in fact she said the ring she put on my partner was the right size even though it wasn't) and also tried to sign me up for a 40% interest loan then gave me attitude when I was reading the terms and objected to it. She kept giving us attitude and pushing so we went elsewhere. Super disappointed after my positive experience before

Went to this location because a chain I bought my boyfriend after one year broke. I asked if they had any sort of warranty but the lady helping me was extremely rude and snarky. She said there was no warranty after a year and they do not “fix” jewelry they send it to be repaired- which is fine, but I was just asking a simple question and she decided to have such an attitude. She also got upset that I went to this location to ask since I bought the chain originally from WEM, and said that there was no way she could help me. She was implying that I was too incompetent to understand their warranty policy. It’s disappointing to spend $700 on a chain and not even be met with basic customer service when I ask questions. I don’t care that I have to pay for a repair, but when you act extremely rude to me, that’s just wrong. This was an older lady with long blonde hair and glasses.
I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Ozzy, the manager, was amazingly helpful and kind. We had a poor experience elsewhere and he went above and beyond to make it up for it, even though he had no obligation to.

Very very unimpressed with my entire experience with Michael Hill. I cannot express how deeply upset I am for entrusting my money and product in this company. I have been sold a faulty product (that i was later informed should bot be sold to me in the first place), lied to, given the run around between many locations, been given completely incorrect information, and ultimately am now being threatened to have my LIFETIME WARRENTY for diamond replacement voided altogether. Completely unacceptable.
My ring was purchased back in 2019. The manager (James) at the time had sold me a ring that I was later informed should have been a custom ordered ring, and it should not be sized more than 4 sizes different. As a consumer, I would have no insight into this information, as i am putting my trust into the person seeling me the product. Unfortunately this did not happen, and my ring continuously loses stones on the side bands. The only paperwork I was provided with at time of purchase was the reciept.
I had brought it in numerous times within the first year of purchasing to have the employees of Micheal Hill take a look, and at their recommendation, it was sent in for stone replacement and claw tightening. Most of the drop offs for warrenty protection were between Londonderry and Kingway locations. It was between these two stores that I was sent back and forth, knowingly because they did not want to deal with my issue. I was also told by the assistant manager of Kingsway at the time that Londonderry staff sends all their issues to the kingsway team, which also is bad business between stores of the same company. I was not there to be put in between fueds of locations, I was there to have my faulty ring taken care of. I might add that I was NOT ONCE asked to produce my sign off sheet for the warranty, in fact I had no knowledge of what this sheet was.
A few years later a different Manager of Kingsway (Mouneira -written on her business card) informed me that I should absolutely not be having to deal with this, and that she truly believes that I was wronged during the initial purchase. She and her assistant explained to me about the sizing rule on that ring, and it was then that she told me that she believes Micheal Hill should just replace the ring with the customized one so that I did not have to come in ever few weeks when the stones fall out. She ended up reaching our to her DM to see if that was possible, but unfortunately they declined. When I came back to speak to her at time of pick up, I asked her where we go from there, as it was a waste of mine and the company's time and money to keep having stones replaced so frequently. She said that she was told to recommend that I just come in at the 6 month time frames to have it cleaned and repaired. Obviously this wasn't the best option as this issue shouldn't be happening in the first place, but given there wasn't any other options this is what I did. Again, no mention of any sign off sheet. This is a pretty vital piece of information to leave out.
Fast forward to May 2024, when I go in to the the 6 month repair done, the associate asks me for my sign off sheet. I explained to her that I had no idea what that meant, and that during my previous visits they just pull up my profile on the computer and send it out with no hassle. She then showed me the sheet, and I again told her I do not have that and havr never once been asked for it. She was a little confused, but then proceeded to just give me a new one, and just recommended I bring it in during future visits if I am getting it repaired. I told her no problem, but maybe let a manager know that not one other team member had asked for this prior to that visit.
This brings us to Thursday May 16th, when the current store manager (Oswoldo) calls me to inform me that I either pay $900(+) to get the stones replaced or decline the repair and my warranty on the diamonds would be voided going forward. Im sorry, but What?! I am stil

Edit: I was not contacted to my knowledge but regardless, none of that should’ve even happened. No resolution could make me recommend this brand to anyone. As I said it would’ve taken your staff less effort to just ask what we were after and listen then to do what she did.

This happened a few months ago but me and my partner (both women) went in together to look for an engagement ring for me. Before we were even greeted the woman asked if we were sisters because we looked similar to her, and ushered her coworker over to come see. Immediately uncomfortable with the interaction, we said no and that we were together. I don’t think she was listening to the second part because after we told her we were looking for a specific engagement ring I saw on their website, she exclaimed “oh so you guys are friends..! Well where are your boyfriends??? They should be here for this kind of stuff!!” It made it all the more frustrating and uncomfortable, and again we told her “no… WE are together and engaged”. She then half apologized then went on about how we looked similar and you just don’t know these days and people come in as friends all the time.
After what was the most awkward and humiliating shopping experience my partner and I have ever had, she proceeded to push us to buy a ring we weren’t even there for. We gave her a specific ring that was on the Michael hill website and she gave us something completely different cause they didn’t have that one and kept asking if we wanted to buy it without even a discussion. The whiplash of the humiliating “conversation” to the pushy sales tactics was almost laughable that anyone would act like that to a customer.
My partner and I weren’t even being stuck up or snarky about it because people make assumptions here and there but you would think for a place that mainly sells engagement rings and wedding bands (that also cost thousands of dollars) they wouldn’t immediately assume what our “situation” is? It takes less effort to just ASK then jump through the hoops this sales lady went through to embarrass herself and us. It soured the whole romantic shopping experience of getting a ring thanks to one person who just simply couldn’t stop making it any more horrible.
After that whole interaction, we left, and decided to go with Spence for the same style ring, with a much bigger, better quality diamond, warranty, and customer service for the exact same price.
We tried customer support online and no one got back to us other than an email saying we were contacted but didn’t answer so they assumed that the issue had been resolved. So here we are leaving a review as no resolution came out of that.
I’m usually an easy going person, but that was literally the most horrible customer service experience I have ever had anywhere. Just yikes.

No customer service! NIL! Rebuffed as to the fixing of a ring bought there. Too bad for them as we have bought from Michael Hill before but no more! We will spread the word!

Went in looking for earrings. The older women helping me was not particularly polite. I told her it was out of my price range and thanked her for her time and she replied with “ok.” and walked off. Didn’t make me feel good

I went to Micheal hill on December 11 2023 after being told by multiple stores in Kingsway that they couldn’t help me take links out of my watch, once I got there I was greeted by lovely Maryana and she was very nice and welcoming, she helped me free of charge and took the links out, they were very welcoming, I would like to thank maryana and Micheal bill for the help maryana you are the best. ?
