Today, I went with my baby to Old Navy in Edmonton Alberta (1978 99th St NW, Edmonton AB T6N 1K9, Canada) to spend a gift card on my son that we got for either his baby shower or Christmas. A staff member scratched off the pin number on my card at the till. She accidentally scratched it so she could not see the pin clearly. This resulted in her accidentally locking my card. This is not what I have an issue with. The staff absolutely did their best to try to make the card work and then called corporate to try to get a quick fix. This was not a quick fix.
From roughly 2:20 PM to roughly 3:10 PM, I was made to wait with my infant son while no one ended up having any helpful outcomes for me. I either have to wait 24 hours for an E gift card that I was told may or may not come, or, I just have to wait 72 hours for the gift card to unlock. I find this extremely dissatisfying because none of this was caused by me. The woman helping me was extremely helpful and apologized profusely because she asked her manager if they could compensate me or at least give me the product I was trying to buy, however, her manager did not allow this. (I want to note that I did not expect anything for free! I expected the verified funds on my gift card to be transferred to a different gift card). I was kind and patient throughout the whole thing, but I left having a bad taste in my mouth because management and corporate could not or would not compensate me for the issue that was not at all my fault (or even help me in any way). I now have to bring my baby again in three days to purchase these items.
This was supposed to be a quick 15-30 minute trip and it took 1.5 hours. I have never been so disappointed with Old Navy.
I chatted with cooperate on their live chat and they had absolutely nothing to say except that they don’t deal with gift cards. I called the number they gave to ask about the gift card and it wasn’t the right number. I found the correct one on Google and there were no options for them to help me with this issue.

Disorganized store. Cashier was more interested in chatting with the other cashiers instead of watching what she was doing or greeting me. I was double charged for infant pj bottoms (scanned twice) and the top was not scanned. It was a set. The coat I picked scanned at a higher price than the ticket price!! When I went back to the counter to point this out she just shrugged it off and said “oh, well, I can adjust that”. I returned my entire purchase. Will NOT shop there again.

Even though it was busy (black Friday sales) all of the staff were amazing, there was enough staff and huge shoutout to Traci who helped me with my purchase and explained all of their current deals and pricing. Great place to shop and helpful staff!

It's a clean store with lots of stock. It's fairly quiet, not overrun with customers, which is nice.

Came here today. The staff unhelpful. I was just given a cold treatment and couldn’t care less attitude when I asked for help from the Asian lady with blue contacts as I was explained that if seems the cashier is having a hard time doing her job. I let her know that her colleague was just helping one lady and took her forever to check out one customer. It seems she doesn’t know what she’s doing and she needed help: The time wasted waiting in line is unbelievable.

Old Navy is terrible. If you order online you spend a ton of money there and they can't deliver it on time. Absolutely horrible service

Very bad customer service at the Old Navy South Common store. Rude and unprofessional. The shift manager was equally bad.

Stopped in to get some jeans. The store's inventory was well stocked in the women's section. The change rooms were clean and the lineups to the tills were short thanks to a number of staff on hand to process customers' orders.
