I’ve bought items here and I’ve sold items here. And for the items that I sell to them are well worth more than what they tell you.Recently they took 14 items from me and priced it at $20 worth. Items sold are brand names and in EUC, like are you serious, what a rip off!!! it’s better if you have a garage sale on your own! It’s not worth it to sell to them. Plus some of the ppl that work there look miserable.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is shady and anyone can tell by reading all of these negative comments about them on this review page. They are theives. Items I paid over $50 that haven't been worn they gave $.75 cents for. My sister did the exchange and when she got home with the receipt I was livid at what I saw. And they won't give our stuff back if we give our money back. They take advantage of people like my sister who is too scared to say anything. The grand prairie location is amazing and pay you FAIRLY. The staff at this location is very rude. And when I told them I'd leave a bad review at first they said I wasn't allowed and it wasn't fair. Excuse me? What you just did to me wasn't fair. They gave me $40 for a huge amount of of Nike, Jordan, Carter's, children's place, Ralph Lauren, kalvin Clein, and a bunch of really expensive toys. I usually sell lots like these for hundreds and I got a slap in the face by getting .75 cents per expensive item. They steal and take advantage of people and it's sick. Don't bring your things here. They also said they would reply to any bad review I leave justifying their case. They can't admit they are in the wrong even after all of these bad reviews. Sad and shaking my head. I will be bringing this to bigger people over their heads because they can't get away with doing this to this many people. I can't say this enough, DO NOT BUY OR SELL KIDS STUFF HERE unless you want to be stolen from, talked to really rudey and being disrespected. I think this whole staff need a reality check. All of them are shady. They don't even base it off of he retail store price when buying stuff. They give 30% of what they think your item is worth so every time your taking your items in these employees are just throwing out random numbers they feel. So dumb. I hope you loose so much business. I'm not done at these reviews, trust me. I will make it known to so many people that this location is DIRTY and I don't mean their gross grimy store physically, I mean internally, these people are DIRTY.

It's my first time here in the store, my experience of selling goods/items was not so great. It's first come first serve basis. You drop off item, then you have to come back to know how much your item. You only get 20% of your item. They sell it for others 50 % off market price. I didn't know it would be like that. Example: You have a brand new zara shoes thats worth 46 dollars, they only pay you 4.50 dollars for it and they sell it for 15-20 dollars in the store.

I was sceptical to come to this location based on the reviews but the reviews were correct. This location is dirty, unorganized and overpriced. Aisles are so small only one person and a cart can fit. Random placement of storage containers with items, just a messy, dirty and overpriced store. Will not be back.

I went to pick up my clothes/toys today and had the worst experience, ever. It was my first time at Once Upon A Child.I dropped my items off yesterday around 4pm and was told they'd be ready the following day, which was fine. I appreciated them letting me know. Before leaving, I let the associate know I would like to know how much each accepted item will be priced at upon pick up. She said that's fine, and they will print a receipt reflecting the prices. The following day (Jan 3, 2023 at 1230). I went back to the store after getting a text notification. They had 1 bin of my items they accepted, which was great. I asked to see how much they were offering for each item, rather than just accepting the entire bin for X amount dollars.Once I asked to see how much each item was, an associate printed me a receipt and handed it to me. No one offered to help me compare the receipt/asking price to each item, so I slowly began to sort through the bin and compare certain items to the receipt to see which items I wanted to let go for their asking price. I was very organized and carefully sorted through the bin. Certain items were difficult to find on the receipt, so I asked for help. All of a sudden this older associate (Kelly, if i'm not mistaken) started to assist me. She was so rude! I looked to see if she had a name tag, but I didn't see one. She proceeded to say, "You've messed up the entire bin ... this bin has been organized from top to bottom according to the receipt". However, this was not true; otherwise, it would have been easy for me to sort through my bin myself and compare the asking prices on the receipt. I apologized for any inconvenience, but she continued to be rude saying, "Now it's a mess, do you understand? You did this." I was so shock at the way she was talking to me, I couldn't even respond. It is unacceptable to talk to anyone in that manner. Be respectful. Be kind. The older associate (Kelly) was getting so frustrated that she could not find certain items on the receipt that another associate took over (thank god). The other associate was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. We went through the items together fairly quickly; it was a very easy process. Thank you!Unfortunately, the older associate (Kelly) was the one who ended up giving me my receipt and money. She handed me an American quarter. I said, "Sorry, this quarter is American" and she said, "Does it matter?". I proceeded to say "Yes" (because many places will not accept American coins). The backtalk is so inappropriate and rude. There are so many other ways to respond to a client in a more respectful manner. I was baffled and very disappointed. All the other associates seemed to be kind the day prior and today. The St Albert Trail location has many items in the store, prices are okay. Some items are a bit expensive, and some items are fair. However, I will not be going back with any of my future baby items due to the way I was spoken to.Update: I did end up calling the store around 250pm and spoke with an associate. I told her what had happened. She was very kind and professional over the phone. She apologized for the situation, which I truly appreciate.

Can not believe the prices in this place. Way over priced. I’ve never been to a location that was this pricey. They wanted 15$ for a toy that was literally duck tapped together. $35 for a toy that I could get for the same price brand new without marks all over it. Brutal.

Thrifters paradise! Small space crammed with gems! When I thrift shop I make it worth my while by digging through each aisle and this place is perfect for that. Don't understand other reviews complaining about too much stuff in the store... I want tons of selection to browse through. Purchased vtech toys, baby Gap, under armour, Nike, robeez, Zara and Levi brand for my 18 mth old. Staff was friendly when I came in. When paying the young gentleman let me know that bc of the amount I spent next time I get 20% off. One thing I would suggest for the store staff, to dust the large toys on top of all the aisles. Some had dust bunnies on them. All in all will be coming back to this store as great value and selection.

Go to the Sherwood park location if you can they are fantastic. North location staff our very rude and they don't count your items fairly. After I gave them 2 bins I got my bins back with clothes that wasn't even mine. Won't be returning to this location thought I'd give it another try but staff continue to be very rude.

A great location, staff was very friendly and informed us of a discount we could get if we chose another few pieces of clothing. 10 for $10 books is absolutely unmatched!
