I bought a dog crate from a different location earlier in the day and tried to return it here. The purchase was linked to my Pet Valu account, and my e-receipt was on my account. When I tried to return it the staff at this location said they don't accept returns without a physical receipt and that the proof of purchase on my account was not sufficient, they refused to even look my account up. I ended up having to contact the Sherwood Park location (who were great to deal with) and had them email me the receipt so that I could return the product. The Sherwood Park staff said that this location was violating policy by refusing my return. When I eventually was able to start the return the staff here now wanted my Pet Valu account info, presumably to link the return to my account, when they previously said that they are unable to access my account if I made a purchase at another store. It made no sense, and was a huge waste of time.

Pet Valu? Where’s the value in their prices? Seriously, they upcharge like crazy for their food and litter. You’re better off going to Walmart or G&E. Seriously. Don’t waste your money on this price gouging enterprise.

Im a aboriginal female and one day I went to buy cat food had a employee follow me the entire time I grabbed the food told the girl I was going to buy it not to worry she followed me to the till I told the chick at till I was very offended that I was being treated like I was stealing and if it wasn't for the fact my cat needed that food I would leave. I told her I would never go in that store again. I'm not a theif just cause I'm aboriginal again they make me add a star

The staff at the store were very helpful, answering questions and even helped me with getting a bag of dog food to the front for payment, since my dog was too excited to keep under control while carrying the bag. Prices were better than anywhere else I’ve looked in town.

When I visited there was a cat up for adoption in the tiniest cage ever. He was crying and crying for attention and desperate to get out. I asked the man working if anyone takes him home at night and he said he is in there all day and night. I asked how long he'd been in there and he said 1 week. This is animal cruelty. A cat does not belong in a tiny cage 24/7 with no interaction. I left the store crying. If I wasn't traveling in my van with my 2 dogs I'd have taken him but I'd imagine they wouls just put a new cat in there.

CAT OWNERS DO NOT COME HERE.
2 isles of cat food vs THE 5 they have for just dog food, so no variety or option.
Better off going to Global Pets than here.
Also their cat towers are so cheap, no carpet cover, just some flimsy material my cat would rip through the same day.

We used the self-service dog wash and accidentally left behind our dog’s customized collar, which included an AirTag. The collar is valued at approximately $200.
We returned the next day after noticing the AirTag still pinging from the store’s location. We spoke with a staff member who claimed they had not seen the collar. We explained the collar’s value and asked them to look into it, but they insisted it wasn’t there.
However, after we left the store a few hours later, the AirTag’s location updated — showing it in the garbage bin next to the store. This sequence of events is highly suspicious and feels unprofessional, especially given that the collar was not returned even after it was evidently found or moved.
