These guys carry live feeder bugs and can order in live pinkies for picky eaters such as danger noodles (aka snakes) and pacman frogs.
They also carry a wide selection of pet toys and supplies. I often pop in to grab silly Christmas toys for the do and my cats around the holiday season.
It's also one of the few places in the area that carries live bugs for exotic pets.

The self-service dog washing place had towels that smelled bad and dirty, and the blow dryer was underpowered. Also today it was very windy and cold outside, but my dog couldn't be dried off before we leave. He was shaking on the way home. Very disappointed.

Great place to go for a self-service dog wash. I just wish they had treats for the dogs like the other locations.

What a great little pet store in the heart of Old Strathcona. Well stocked with all of Storms favourite toys and snacks. Well, Storm is not that impressed with the dog bath lol

Penny crunching much? We noticed that the owner's behaviour changed significantly after their expansion. I am not sure if the current owners are same as before, but we used their dog wash stations for the last 3.5 years.
In the past 12 months, the owner kept reminding us to keep the shower 40 minutes. In addition, their blowers don't work for the last couple of months, but only give two dinky towels.
They increase the price from $10 to $15 few years ago but customer service crumbled. If you want to cheap out, just don't offer the service. PetValu has standards for franchise with shower stations and this place definitely doesn't meet PetValu's standards.
Giving two stars because they have a wide selection.

This is my go to place for all my dogs needs. The staff is great, the manager (I think) is amazing, I’m after speaking with her about recommendations for my picky eater puppy, she has gone above and beyond. Just today I walked in, did my thing and when I went to check out, and she had picked out some options for me to take a look at based on past conversations about my dog, Couldn’t ask for better customer service.

Awesome Petvalu, I can't remember his name maybe (nik) but he was the manager.We moved a couple of weeks ago and he remembered us after our last visit over a month ago and asked how the move was and how we were doing, Absolutely awesome customer service and an absolute joy to talk to! He deserves recognition for his amazing customer service!!

My dog was attacked by another dog and the staff put us behind the bathing area gate, allowing the other pair to continue to roam and shop. We were asked to wait by the staff, until the others were finished. According to the owner, their dog was in heat, then proceeded to get off leash and approach my dog. Then jumped on her and started biting. A dog that is out of control is the one that needs to be separated (and trained), not the dog that’s getting attacked.We got fed up waiting, avoided the dog on the way out the door, and left.
