I take my dog here for baths and I’m so thankful for the ability to not have to use my own tub at home to do it! The staff have always been great, and I really cannot understand why there are complaints on here about a 30 minute time limit… I have a lab and am always in and out in 15 mins. Thank you for the dog wash service!

If you’re looking for a welcoming and friendly environment you’ll definitely want to come to this location. I’ve been doing some desensitization training with my very anxious and fearful dog. Amy and the staff have been very accommodating to Stella and I. Amy and Jaycee have followed my instructions on how to make Stella’s visits as least stressful as possible. They were also able to build trust with Stella, making it a safe place for training. Highly recommend Pet Valu in Albany!

Pet Valu has become our go-to store for our cat and pup for the majority of our needs. From the excellent selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean store and available amenities, it has everything we need. Haven't had a bad experience here.

Very disappointed in our experience at the pet wash today. We prepaid as always, went and started bathing our dog as always…had just put conditioner on her and one of the associates came and informed us that there was now a line up and we only had 5 of our 30 minutes left. A few minutes later when we were still rinsing said conditioner, the other girl working at the store essentially came and told us to hurry up as there were others waiting. We were going as fast as we could but couldn’t miss any conditioner or it could irritate her skin. We have bathed her here numerous times and have never been informed of a 30 minute time limit. It is not posted anywhere on any of the posters around the dog wash station nor on the website. We had to leave with a wet dog. I explained this all to the second girl on our way out, didn’t get much understanding or sympathy. I suggested that maybe we hadn’t been informed before as it was not busy and she said we should be being told even when it’s not busy in quite a snarky tone; but then why did they not tell us when we paid before going back there today then? Hypocrisy at best. And how are you supposed to wash and blow dry a 65 pound dog in 30 minutes? Will not be returning.

Pet-friendly pet store. Our dog has always been welcome while we shop, and the staff seem genuinely happy to see him. Great product recommendations from the staff as well. They seem to really know and take an interest in the products they sell and their applicability.

I've been to this location a few times and the ladies always have a great answer for me every time, even if they don't carry the product I'm looking for.
