Had to wait for almost an hour to get the free complementary breakfast served. It was served faster for people who came after us.No communication whatsoever. Poor customer service. The male waiter wouldn’t even come to our table. Felt very rude.

No room service, no heat in room, you get treated differently if you come from one of the reservations. Brothers and sisters stay away from here.

All of the staff greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. All were approachable and willing to help. The room was lovely and spacious. The beds were comfy and I slept great. The shower was hot and had amazing pressure. The breakfast is one of the better buffet breakfasts I've had. The location was awesome, as it was a 3 minute drive to West Edmonton Mall. I would reccomend this hotel and will probably stay again in the future.

Staff was very pleasant. Would have liked to try the lounge.
Rooms: Room was nice and clean. Tv excellent size. Bath was a good size even for me at 6 foot 3. Could have used a microwave in the room.
Food and drinks: Free breakfast was 4/5. Tater tots were way over cooked one day. But the rest was very good. Service staff was excellent.
Noteworthy details: The hotel decor is beautiful. Like the rings intertwined.

I love this place. I come here every time I come to Edmonton. This is basically our go to place. The breakfast is complimentary and it’s so good.

Hotel staff were great. Room was large , bed comfortable but a bit dated. Location was excellent. Room being dated didn't bother me really but I was located by sn exit door to the parking lot that slammed every time it closed and this went on until around 2am as people were going outside to smoke etc.
I would stay there again but ask not to be by the exit door

We just got married here at Royal Hotel West Edmonton Location. Steven the Catering manager is awesome and was able to arrange everything for us in just very short notice. The food that was served to our guest is delicious and everybody likes it. The jacuzzi room that we are checked-in was spacious and the bed is comfy and it comes with a complimentary hot breakfast to start our busy day.

I was a part of Jasper Wildfire Evacuation and stayed here for a week.
To start with, the rooms are cozy and the hotel seems nice.
The reason for 1 star is theft, but since I can't prove it, all I can do is to put a review.
The story starts from the meaning of DO NOT DISTURB. When you hang this sign on your door handle, it indicates that the customer doesn't want to be disturbed. I left my valuables in the room and put a tag on the handle, but when I got back, my room was clean, and the beds were made. Initially, I thought it was not a big deal. Maybe they didn't read it. This instance happened 4 times in that week. It was on purpose. After I moved from the hotel, I found out that my portable hard drive went missing from my laptop bag. It was an expensive hard drive and I went back to the hotel to enquire but obviously they didn't find it.
Now, I can't accuse anyone of stealing because I have no proof or whatsoever. But I know for sure that my hard drive went missing from this hotel. A few of my friends also complained that some of their clothes went missing.
The moral of the story is, the rooms are nice, reception is good, but DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES UNATTENDED. Or carry a good lock with you. The room service people obviously cannot read.
Safety: Don't leave your valuables inside your own room. The housekeeping won't read DND on your door.

Stayed a night here woke up and decided to stay another night i went down to get another room and had breakfast as we had until 12 to check out we had breakfast went back to the room to move our stuff and when we got the room service had thrown away all my stuff they dumped the trashbags out on the floor and told me to search threw them to find my stuff they dumped out 2 full bottles of wine they tampered with sealed medication and took the money i had as a tip so now they told me all my stuff thats missing isnt in lost and found and iam out 300$ worth of stuff...if you stay here i would be very mindful of leaving things in your rooms in the morning as they will walk right in toss your shit out and pocket anything laying around
