My favourite Safeway… rarely crazy busy. Quick to open up more tills if a line is starting to form at the checkout.

I will not shop at this Safeway again after being harassed at the self-checkout by an employee named Manon. I said, "Excuse me," when I needed her help and she exploded with irritation and accused me of being rude. She continued to address me in a passive aggressive manner until I left the store. I had just come from getting chemo at Cross Cancer Institute and have a long history as a victim of emotional abuse. My encounter with Manon triggered my PTSD, and why should I endure bad treatment to spend hundreds of dollars a month at this Safeway? There are plenty of other grocery stores where I can shop without risking abuse by an employee.

No one one a till. Just the auto checkout. Put my groceries back on the shelf.
Next time I'll just leave the basket on the floor. You can put them back.

This Safeway is trash. All I'm comparing it to is other Safeway's. Especially the baking here. It's wild how much better other locations are. I also love the attitude of the staff when you ask why other stores make the exact same items differently. I'm just asking because the other stores are better, I only used to go here because its near the house. If things are going to be crazy expensive at least make them good.

Asked for a half slab cupcake cake for an employee's 45th work Anniversary. I asked them to make it nice for him. He is 68 yrs old. When we picked up the cake it looked like it was made for a 5yr old. It had little plastic rings and balloons, the writing was clunky and said 45 not 45th. Not what I expected from Safeway bakery. Sigh

Safeway is extremely overpriced what you would find at Walmart for $4 you would find at Safeway for $6 though I have to say it's cleaner, it's better organized and there's better customer service
