Disappointed so far with a room price of $500 tonight.
1-plumbing in the room leaks, sink faucets
2-Bed feels as though it’s broken possibly, very oddly soft and I sink in very bad
3-No room service options for breakfast (for a $500 a night room??)
4-Small makeup mirror in bathroom is broken/ loose in wall
5-Door deadbolt won’t lock
6-Went to Chop for breakfast, no discount for being a hotel guest (for a $500 a night room???)
7-Unable to even get into Chop at supper without a reservation? should be warned about this at check in
8-Warned at check in that parking on night of concert is offered public so don’t have a garauntee of a space (for a $500night room??)
Needless to say I am disappointed with Sandman Edmonton Downtown. I expect better for my money.

Highly- highly recommend this place!!! Staff is amazing!!!! Chop food right down stairs!! If you have met Kalee, she is the sweetest and kindest front desk service provider I have EVER met!!! I will no longer book anywhere else!!! Game night, I was able to also walk right over from the oilers game.

Rooms: Rooms are ok a bit run down.
Safety: Lots of meth heads around the front entrance.
Walkability: This is the biggest asset, as you can use the indoor pedway to walk to Rogers arena.
Food and drinks: Chop is in the hotel and Joeys is across the street. Both great food options.

Happy anniversary to us.
We took a splurge and stayed at the Sandman. Manendra, the General Manager has a great hotel here in downtown Edmonton. Close to everything, safe and secure parking, Chop Steakhouse is in the base and Emmanuel / Austin were the first to greet us.
They made checking in smooth. Room info, how to get to parking, Chop Steakhouse details, breakfast options, they just took care of it. Thank you guys!
The room is amazing and made us feel real special. Super clean, the bed was supportive and soft yet firm. Pillow game was on point and lots to choose from.
Water pressure is good and quick to warm up. Gym facilities look good and are on the top floor.
I’ll add more pics to the review as we are staying another night but had to get the word out. This Sandman Signature Hotel is really nice.
UPDATE: Check out was super smooth as well. Nadia took care of us and we were on our way super fast!!!
The pool on the top floor was super clean and cool.
Chop breakfast is great value in the mornings! The lox and granola hit the spot!
Rooms: TV’s are new, lots of charging ports. Beds are great and water pressure is good and heats up.
Safety: Felt safe. No worries there. Floors in elevator are keyed to your room.
Walkability: It’s part of the Edmonton downtown walkway so you can stay warm and get to Rogers Center without getting cold. Mall and ice district are a 1 minute walk too.
Food and drinks: Chop downstairs is great and an easy choice after a long day.
Noteworthy details: Just a really good value hotel with quality to boot.

Brought a Stag group to Edmonton from Edam SK for the Oilers game, casino and party afterwards. The Sandman was our hotel for the night. Very central location and easy access to everywhere we we're going without going outside. Front desk staff were very friendly, room was clean and large. Had a great night

Nice hotel, nice rooms and good service at the front desk, only beef is that there was no where in the room to plug your phone in except the bathroom. You could do it in the room but you would have to move furniture to access a plug.

Great location for anything going on at Rogers Place. Pedway all the way. Chop Lounge is great for before and after drinks.

Love this location. It was perfect for a weekend getaway with family. I like that it is connected to the mall, you don't even have to go outside. Most convenient location, ample underground parking and everything you can think of is on site. Great experience, highly recommend!
Nearby activities: Rogers Place/Center close by, restaurants, mall, movie theater, everything you can think of in a town center.
Walkability: Perfect location, highly convenient and you can walk to all your destinations.
Food and drinks: Love their in house coffee/cookie shop. They made my family the perfect grill sandwiches with real cheese. Made my morning, the staff was the best.
Noteworthy details: Staff were polite and helpful.

So far so good.. Here for a conference and theyve handled the crowds like pros... Austin has been a great help from the front desk from helping me with road directions to also getting some stay details rearranged to make the stay even easier.. Will try the other amenities in next day or so.. parking arrangements are a bit of a sh-tshow..but that's downtown YEG for ya....

For such a busy hotel our room was so quiet, and we were across from the ice dispenser and vending machine. The downside was our room was noticeably dirty when we checked in. Quick flip of the room (I’m sure the beds were done) to accommodate the fact it was sold out. I mentioned this to the front desk and they were genuinely concerned with this, and immediately had my room cleaned, and beds remade (again, I do believe the beds were clean, just floors and other areas weren’t touched) while we went out to dinner. The customer service was top notch. Location is incredible. Beds and pillows comfortable.

The location was perfect and so was the parking. Made it easy to get to and from the Oilers game.
The room was mediocre, but relatively clean. Some items could be better kept up, mostly bathroom related. The air vent/duct had not been cleaned in some time and there was some hair stuck to the ceiling from a previous guest. There was also no air vent in the bathroom, making it very stuffy.
The provided coal and conditioners were also very cheap and insufficient for the three people we had in the room over the two night stay. The staff was able to send up more towels and toiletries to compensate, however.
The staff were very pleasant and accommodating throughout. Would stay there again but book out earlier to get a better room.
Nearby activities: Shopping and restaurants.
Walkability: Very close to amenities and a quick walk to Roger’s Place and the Ive district

What a wonderful team this hotel has built. Having a long day of travel and a busy week planned can be overwhelming, however Nadia and Kaylee made us feel right at home. Both of you welcomed us with smiles and “hello’s” even when caring for other guests . You are both very incredible at what you do and I hope my partner and I can make this an annual plan to come to Edmonton. Im sure the rest of your team is just as wonderful but you two deserve a special shout-out. Thank you so very much for all you do and I hope we see you next time!

Close to downtown & U of A Hospital, as well as the arena. Discounted compassionate pricing if you are travelling for medical reasons. Parking available underground for ($). Pool and hot tub on 26th floor for relaxing.
