A warning - do not use this drive through ATM. I lost my card to it once a few months ago and had to go in and they took a while to get it out of the ATM from the inside of the bank. Against my better judgement I tried it again today and I just spent 10 minutes trying to get my card out of it and it never did deposit my cash (a pretty basic ask). I have had good service the 3 times I’ve had to interact with staff inside aside from these incidents. But they really need to fix that ATM.

This is one of the best banks I have ever dealt with for customer service. Their mutual funds advisor Joe has been the most attentive and helpful bank employee. My husband and I have been so discouraged with banks until we moved to this branch. We feel like we are heard and seen and that our needs are listened to and the service we have received has gone beyond all our expectations. They are responsive, dedicated and treat us like we are important and have value. Joe has been amazing. The branch manager is responsive and committed to ensuring our banking needs are met. The human interaction is so appreciated. We highly recommend you take the time to consider this branch.

Why are there operating hours for the ATM? Major inconvenience, just go across the street to the 7-Eleven if you need to get cash. At least they have snacks too.

Not a huge fan of their financial advisors:
I rarely write reviews that are not related to food; But I went into the bank seeking a line of credit for graduate school. I met with one of the advisors promptly. It seems like he was being kind, however, he showed no understanding to my financial situation. He geniunely seemed young and inexperienced, and almost elitist even? He even recommended a third party loan, and then quickly said "no you should not get it actually"
He also said my file said I am unemployed and a few moments later said that my file said I am employed part time?
Honestly, the whole thing just seemed super inconsistent and off putting.
He seemed kind with good intentions, but I would hope that Scotia would hire better financial advisors who have confidence and skill. I wasn't impressed overall. This is a big reason people refrain from seeking help, lol. Do better.

Subject: Disappointing Experience with Scotia Bank, 97 Street Branch, Edmonton, ABI am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service provided by Scotia Bank's 97 Street Branch in Edmonton, AB.Recently, I had an urgent need to travel to England and visited the branch to exchange currency. Regrettably, the bank provided me with out-of-circulation sterling pounds. To my dismay, upon arrival in England, I discovered that the outdated currency was not accepted in most establishments, causing significant inconvenience and setbacks during my trip.This experience was extremely disappointing and unexpected from a reputable financial institution like Scotia Bank. I trusted that the currency I received would be valid and accepted without issue, especially considering the urgency of my trip.As a customer, this incident has not only inconvenienced me but also impacted my ability to navigate essential purchases and transactions during my stay abroad.I strongly urge Scotia Bank to ensure that they provide current and valid currency to customers to avoid similar inconveniences in the future. Do not do personal banking at this branch. I will not disclose publicly the employee I had troubles with, but in my time at this branch she had repeatedly cancelled appointments with me, even going so far as to not show up. This branch is horribly unfriendly and hostile, and I will never switch back to scotiabank thanks to my experience here.

#Fraud #OnlineBankingI went to my location after a online purchase turned out to be a scam, same day and within a couple hours to resolve this. Only thing needed I was told by bank customer service young man was to get a new bank card and that would resolve the problem, I did that... and Wrong!!!I'm now locked out of my online banking app and this new bankcard due to this same outfit taking a payment out of my account this morning on the new bank card.I'll be at my branch asap Monday morning.This was not supposed to happen so I'm very disappointed with the customer service I received last week at Scotiabank
