This bank is an absolute joke. I have had 2 extremely rude encounters here. The first time was with a manager. She was incredibly rude, spoke to me and my daughter with the rudest tone possible, and was absolutely no help at all. Today, I had a hold put on a cheque I deposited. Keep in mind I have been depositing these cheques from my employer for a year and a half, with no issues. I went to a branch in Leduc, where they explained my main branch had authority to release some of it to me in order to pay bills and get food until the hold is released. When I came here to ask, they refused to help me at all, told me the manager denied the request, and there was no other option for me. Keeping in mind that the cashier I dealt with today was extremely rude also. I could understand if I had previous cheques bounce, was unemployed, or regularly was short on money. Save yourself the trouble and find a new bank or at least a different branch. Some of the worst service I have ever encountered.

I visited the branch today after the Scotiabank app/website specifically indicating that my issue could only be resolved in person. I don’t typically visit the bank otherwise, but unfortunately, the teller seemed irritated and made no effort to troubleshoot or explore solutions. While I understand that challenges happen, better customer service would have made a difference.

Worse customer service ever especially the Front desk Teller Supervisor/Manager as I have told them their corporate website have incorrect information leading customer to believe you will get a free safety deposit box if you open an ultimate banking package, she keeps arguing with me that the price is different now. I asked her to please notify corporate to update this and she just ignore my request.
I dont understand how you can win customers over or do business with you when you have manager like that at your branch, absolutely garbage. If i didnt have my mortgage with you, no way i would choose u as my preferred bank.
Get your act together and provide better service. Worse i seen from any banks that I dealt with at the 111st and ellerslie location

Cannot even say how much time I've wasted at this location.
One thing I will say is get the damn drive through ATM serviced, slow and the cash deposit port does not work. You could put crisp new bills in and this relic will spit them out 90 percent of the time.

Worst customer service! Needed 3k for a purchase but they cannot transfer to another scotia bank account internally, won’t give me cash or increase withdrawal limit for the ABM. They just tried their best NOT to help us.

The Teller lady wearing the hijab was very rude and did not have time for me. I was trying to ask her questions about a print out of my loan, she kept rushing me and was quite impatient. Called for the next customer before I was done. Worst customer service I’ve had in a long time

Wow! I wish I could give this scotia bank on Ellerslie road in Edmonton -10 stars! I will be traveling international in about a weeks time and I heard good things about scotia banks' foreign currency conversion and ATB charges so I drop by this location to open a new account and what a disappointment. The staff are highly unprofessional, almost on the verge contempt. I thought who in there right mind would trust these people with there money.

This branch is getting worse and worse.It used to be my favorite but not anymore.They don't know what they are doing. Wasting customer's time with no hesitation and the way they talk is so rude.Who would want to invest their money with this terrible customer service?I am afraid there will be no longer scotiabank available in my area because I have a feeling for them close down soon.

Opened a new account last week, made literally one cheque deposit, have never used e-transfer, or my debit. And I log into my app, and it says "suspicious activity has been detected, call us to open account"I call, and everyone is ignorant, and just repeats themselves. No answers as to why, no help. They all tell me to head to branch. Well the branch opens at 930am, which is already an inconvenient situation. As this happened sometime in the middle of the night. I find it highly unlikely that the fraud department would have no idea why my app was locked, and why only my home branch would know. Makes zero sense. So far, so terrible. Probably just close my account when the bank opens.
