Shoppers Drug Mart is my go-to spot, and recently, Amita went above and beyond in helping me find the perfect perfume. Her friendly guidance and knowledge made the selection process a breeze. The store's diverse fragrance collection combined with Amita's excellent customer service made for a fantastic shopping experience. Big shoutout to Amita for making my visit extra special!

A sick family member of mine was trying to get information regarding a prescription medication that was being prescribed and received nothing but miscommunication and rudeness from the pharmacist that answered the phone. She was so rude that my family member is now having anxiety to even go back to this location or even deal with another shoppers pharmacy in general. I truly believe in this day and age that staff should be properly trained to communicate with patients. It’s crazy to think that these pharmacist forget that the people coming in are patients and not customers. Do better please!

Everytime I’m in for anything regarding prescriptions, and or amenities.Either I’m followed, or I see other indigenous people followed around the shop. Makes my experience, and others really uncomfortable.I highly recommend the security this location contracts out too, to take cultural training regarding First Nations people.

Called them at 7 pm to get a flu shot yesterday. Went to the pharmacy 15 minutes later and the pharmacist says come tomorrow. I am like I called you people, then he goes I must have called a different store. I showed him the phone number I called and then his response was someone from different department must have answered the call. Rather than apologizing or doing his job the guy kept lying. Going to stay from pharmacies where people like this work.

I was on a day out with my friends eating at a nearby sushi restaurant. We went in the evening to late night. It was a great time, and we later took a stroll around the city on foot. By the time we returned to our cars it was quite late, and that was when I unfortunately found out that my car remote battery died. If I lock my car using the remote control, it must be unlocked from the remote control. However my remote control died. If I open my car using my key, my alarms will blare. If I start the car, it will continuously beep like crazy. It was probably going on for about half an hour and I was stranded, it was late night and most stores were closed at this point. It was around 10-11. One of my friends who stayed behind to help me, showed me the way to this Shoppers Drug Mart nearby. Luckily Shoppers is open until 12 am. I met staff who were very helpful, who showed me to a car remote battery and even found a small screwdriver to open my car remote. This was a few months ago and I am still grateful.

Generally short waits for meds, short lines (waited longer the odd times), and good product selection. Sneaky parking in the back. I get beauty products and my cats meds here mostly. The pharmacy team is great.

I have long crazy hair, acne and I am skinny. I have been accused of stealing multiple times. I think these employees need to stop judging people of off the way they look. It’s extremely embarrassing to be accused multiple times of stealing. I go there frequently to purchase items and am always kind to the employees. It’s honestly a spit in the face. Instead of being treated like a customer I am treated like a criminal. I don’t have this issue anywhere else

This review is for the pharmacy at this shoppers, if your doctor faxes them a prescription make sure you call them to tell them to check their fax because they are not capable of doing it themselves. (If you’re lucky enough for them to be able to work a phone)Currently watching 4 workers listen to phone ring while intercom says pharmacy call 101 they are not bothered and as suspected the fax machine is stacked full of orders they won’t get to until you come in.If you think your prescription is ready I assure you it isn’t. Also if they tell you 20-30 mins I’d multiply that by at least 4 for realistic time. The Staff should be replaced to competent workers. Never had an issue with a pharmacy until dealing with them.***SHOPPERS INSTEAD OF INSERTING A COPY AND PASTE RESPONSE HOW ABOUT YOU READ ALL THESE TERRIBLE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS PHARMACY. PEOPLE ALL HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THE STAFF DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT GET COMPETENT STAFF.

Customer service is usually slow in this branch. My last visit was embarrassing. Chinedu was really rude, the way he is communicating with customers is absolutely disrespectful. He made me feel so bad. After our conversation, I will never come here again.

I occasionally go to this shpppers just to play tag with the security guard everywhere i go. literally unfortunately every time i step into this shoppers am I instantly followed and watched. i specifically noticed when i was looking at hair dye for up to 10 mins deciding on a hair colour. the guy stood there for the whole time making me so uncomfortable. I’m surprised he doesn’t walk upstairs with me. from now on i’m going to a different shoppers even though it’s further.

This pharmacy location always has problems. I once went with my brother who is immunocompromised to get a COVID shot done here when they opened up booster availability to those that are immunocompromised. Pharmacists were extremely rude and sarcastic to him and I. One of them sarcastically asked him “Well are you 70 years old?” Which he is clearly a young adult. The other man laughed and was extremely rude and unhelpful with explaining COVID booster availability. Super unprofessional.I went to the pharmacy on a Saturday recently to get a prescription filled, they told me that it wouldn’t be ready until the next day and I said that is fine and I would come back the next day. I then show up the next day in the afternoon and I’m asked to wait 15 mins for it to be ready, I said that I would just come back later for it. I come back 3 hours later and they said it’s still not ready yet and to wait another 15 mins. What the heck is that? Thankfully I live close by but imagine people having to run back and forth for prescriptions. They either need to manage their time better or hire more pharmacists. It’s pretty ridiculous.

I am fed up with the service I have received over the last few years. I have spoken with the owner Dapheni more than once over the years about the issues I am experiencing with her store. Nothing has changed. This Shoppers location rarely has my prescription ready when they say it will be. It doesn't seem to matter if I call days in advance. I often show up even later than the agreed-upon time, and my medication is still not ready. I do not drive and have to have someone pick up my meds, drive me or public transit. I should not have had to wait 20-45 mins when I was told my medication would be ready by the time I arrived, but it has happened many times. This location claims to contact the doctor for you to request a prescription refill. What that looks like is them sending a fax to your doctor, but no one follows-up to ensure the fax has been received. Days later, I am left wondering why no one has contacted me about my medication.I have had it happen more than once where the pharmacist had filled my last prescription and the store attempted to fax that pharmacist instead of my prescribing doctor (because they just look at the last name on file and don't ask the follow-up questions they should be asking.) I have even had it happen where I call to ask why they do not have it ready, and the excuse is that the doctor just hasn't returned. In one case, the staff member sent several faxes over a couple of days. I called my doctor's office to see what was going on. They told me they had not received the faxes. I finally asked the staff who they were sending it to and that is FINALLY why he realized it was being sent to the shopper's pharmacist. (which seems like something someone would have noticed, no?)On many occasions, I have asked for a refill by a certain date, and the shoppers' staff seem to forget about it. They certainly do not call the doctor's office to double check, because every time I ask why it hasn't been filled... the staff lecture me about how it is my responsibility to ensure my doctor receives the fax by calling them myself. I have a disability that makes using the phone difficult for me, and I have told them this. My online account does not work and for some reason, they cannot put me on autofill. When I am told that they will handle the prescription refill for me, I expect that they will take the steps necessary to do so. If not, they should not be advertising this service.I have had staff hang up on me after being on hold for 20 mins or longer, laugh at me for asking questions about the process they follow for filling meds and belittle me when I don't understand.I am currently looking for a new pharmacy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
