I had to give myself time to do this review. This is a mixed review. There are a couple great people that work here, but service is inconsistent. A month ago, on my shy girl's 18th birthday, I gave her money to purchase a lotto ticket. I knew she would be asked for ID. It is such a wonderful right of passage to turn 18 in Alberta. Her provincial government issued ID was refused. They told my adult daughter to come in with her mother. They refused to sell my daughter a lottery ticket. It crushed and embarrassed her. It broke my heart. I charged into the store and asked them very colorfully what their problem was. They produced and showed me a warning letter from the gaming commission that said "anyone who looked to be under 25 needs to provide identification to show they are 18 or over". The guy yelled at me "look at this letter, I will be fined if I sell a ticket to someone under 25". On this special happy day, I had to yell at the man to open his eyes and read a dictionary...word by word if needed. I'm a customer and should not be shown fines, I should not have to explain what constitutes an Alberta minor or the rules around asking for identification. I should not have to tell anyone that a minor employee, even your own child, can not demand identification from a customer nor sell restricted items. You damaged my child and me with your lack of understanding Alberta laws and English correspondence from governing bodies. I have lived and supported this business through 3 owners over 15 years and have never been more offended or sad. I also want to mention that in 2020-21, this store refused to sell my child a large size Slurpee. When I went in after work, I was told a child should not order a large Slurpee. I have not forgotten this overstep. You do not get to parent neighborhood children and decide if they are allowed to drink pop and eat sweets. My children often share items between themselves because it's cheaper to split a large Slurpee than buy multiple smaller sizes. My now 16 year old son still remembers being fat shamed right after his father died of cancer. I like service with a smile, but please stay in your lane. Leave your judgment of my parenting in a box, because it's been a long row to hoe on my own these past few years. Be familiar with the laws that pertain to the selling and purchasing of restricted items as it pertains to your business, and above all else... leave me out of it. Your personal correspondence is not my concern.

Pay at the pump would be useful, but not a big deal. To anyone complaining about no pre-authorization: ASK! You can’t accuse a business of theft when you don’t do basic due diligence. That’s called libel.

This place DOES NOT REFUND prepaid gas. Like many other reviews here, I'm mad now. The store worker should've told people ahead of time on their debit system. Scammers!

The place stinks and the bathroom is made for peeping Tom's. I would not recommend children going in there alone

Do not give your money to these people.I went for gas and didn’t receive a refund for the difference on my preauthorized payment. I was not made aware I needed to come back for my refund. Regardless, when I saw I didn’t get the refund I called the store multiple times over weeks and no one ever answered. I live out of town so I can’t just drop by in person to deal with this. This place is such a scam and is actively stealing from people.

The snacks in side are over priced by a lot and most of them you can get at any other convenience (not rare). They wanted 7.99 for 3 pens when you can clearly see the price tag from dollarama saying 2.00. Also can of pop is 3.50 they think it’s rare. Also there is no prices on anything so you have to go pay to see the price.

Make sure if you use interact to pay for the gas you go back in and get your change if it doesn't work out perfectly. Unfortunately they didn't take the time to let me know that so I had to circle back when my bank machine told me that 50 was taken out instead of the 46 dollars in gas I actually purchased
