The gentleman at the 17th St location was fantastically helpful, the best kind of customer service. Friendly but not at the expense of the task at hand. What absolutely sucked was the leadup:
1. reserving a pickup at this location
2. getting a phone call 22hrs before pickup, changing my pickup to the opposite end of town, in the parking lot of a weed store
3. arriving at said parking lot with no idea how to take possession of the truck, despite having checked in online 2 days earlier
4. calling the "location" number, getting a "cannot be connected" auto-message
5. calling the toll-free number and being told, yeah, this wasn't set up properly, but we'll get you a truck at the 17th St location right away (also a very helpful human on the phone - thanks John).
My overall impression is of a really great company and brand, that has some consultant or MBA-type in the background trying to make efficiency improvements, and risking it all. I still think of U-Haul as reliable for now, but if I have another experience like this one, I certainly won't.

Team was very helpful and got us in and out as fact as we could hope for. I'm sure we'll be back next time we move! The truck could maybe use some maintenance, but it did the job!

Rented a van and bought a few boxes. I thought it would be just a quick, non personal exchange for the keys but I was pleasantly surprised. Eric was professional, witty and knowledgeable and provided a high level of service that I don’t often see anymore but definitely appreciate, especially having worked in customer service for 15 years. I also rented a furniture dolly through the website but it wasn’t available at this location. Had Eric not been so great already it probably would have irritated me. If something is not available at a location it would be helpful if it was unavailable to rent through the website at that location then. Otherwise great experience.

Everything was good with the trailer and Eric was extremely friendly and helpful at the time of pickup. Upon returning last night, the yard was pretty dark, which made it a bit challenging for the drop-off pictures so a bit of extra lighting could improve that part, but overall great experience.

recently rented a truck here to move some goods. Staff was helpful and the truck performed as required at a fair price. Overall very happy.

WARNING : BEWARE:
My storage unit DD04 0n 17th Street Edmonton was broken into, anything valuable was stolen..Darren Slack offered me a month free rent, I declined as I have no valuables left ,I asked for $ 209.95 refund , appears that drug addicts (meth head's) were squatting and moving my valuables out of my storage for days , The police or myself were never notified by phone or email... And I was never offered insurance. It's user beware...I asked the manager (Darren Slack ) for video servailance he hasn't replied to any of my calls or messages or emails.When I finally caught him at work he told me that their surveillance system only has a history of 2 weeks. I have no other option but to call the police , BBB and make a small claims law suit... could be an inside job...I wouldn't ever recommend using this storage facility to anyone ,unsecured and unreliable ,this storage is targeted for you to get your belongings ripped off and damaged by rodents !!!
The mice run rapidly, causing damage !!
I had storage at Sentinel North Edmonton for 12 years, zero issues.
Also rented a seacan for years in Nanaimo Bc ...again zero issues

Pretty terrible mouse problem. The grounds in general were pretty filthy. Definitely would choose a cleaner place to store my things in the future.

I'd receive emails saying my rent was late or not paid even when it was. The staff put a lock on my locker even though it was paid and left the lock on my locker for an entire month so I couldn't assess my items in my locker and the final reason I canceled my rental was after talking to the staff for an additional two weeks had a lock on my unit resulting in my cutting off their lock and removing my property in storage have 14 units of storage with blue bird and now I have one more to rent from them because uhaul had kept me from my belongings .I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone unless you want to loose all you have to a bully with a lock. I won't be coming back to do business again with this location thank you Mr.C Grant

When I moved in, the unit had a film of dust. It had nail and screws in the unit and outside all over the storage units. Ended up with a flat tire there on one of my visit to the unit. There are always break in and local authorities do not arrive in time, if not at all. Last week on Friday there were 8 break-ins.
Too it off. I moved out of my unit due to high theft, and they didn’t even offer to refund my money even though I was out of the unit three days later. Basically I threw away $200

Booked a trailer for a Friday morning for moving. I had reserved this weeks ago. Received a call Thursday morning that they don’t have a trailer for me. Nothing to accommodate my move. Offered a trailer that was a 2.5 hour drive away if I wanted to go get that one🤬 Then I was asked if I wanted to cancel my reservation…. Well WTH?!? Yah- obviously…. And the rep hung up on me when I said, “well what do you think? Why would I keep a reservation with no trailer!?!”
Called the “main number “ and U-Haul came through for me! The staff at the main Centre was incredible! 😊

Tarable U-hall moved our stuff to a different unit with out telling us and with other people stuff,Lost some stuff of oursDidn't seam to care, I would never recommend this place to anyone
