WOW! Darlene is phenomenal. She is professional, yet personable, and has a great sense of humor. Her middle name must be Joy as she is a bundle of joy.
Darlene is welcoming, engaging, and has sound communication. I was even more impressed with her dress, deportment, and candor with her assisting me with my transaction. She is a high caliber member.
I hope she is around for another 25 years. I have never had a Walmart experience such as this. Darlene raises the bar and makes you feel valued, heard, and appreciated.
Darlene, thank you for the best experience and don't ever lose that awesome smile and your gift to connect with the patrons. You make all the difference in the world.

Prices are a little high for meat products at Walmart in Capilano.
Selection of items tends to be quite low in most departments and it's hard to find associates that are willing to assist you in the store and at checkouts.
At least they have carts and shopping baskets again though.

Consider this as a 0 star 🌟 , see attached photo, they make u take this snow scrapper and removal combo stick thinking its 4.68 all the way to the front counter and dammmmm.... u found out at the front that its its not $4.68 but $25 , then u walk all the way back and see this tiny small label says 25 underneath it. They meant $4.68 for the sand bag they stock on a very bottom shelves. Isn't it fascinating guys. I would never come back to any wallmart now, you lost my business completely...

Aside from the friendly manager at the front doors. This is the worst Walmart. I had an online return and explained I wasn't able to be around for the pick up by canpar so I needed to return in store. She simply said no I couldn't return it, that it wasn't returnable. I have a receipt and it's not opened. First off, she should have called Walmart online. I did and they simply cancelled the return. She doesn't know what she's doing and she's been there for 5 years. Went back and a nicer lady completed the return quickly. I asked about something in the flyer and she and a male customer service rep said they knew nothing and I'd need to check. It was a simple question. Never coming here again

Super helpful customer service agent. I phoned to check on the availability of a product and she checked both the computer and the store shelves to verify its availability and the quantity available. This level of service is rare indeed today.

I don't reside close to this location but visited this location since I was in the area. I forgot to take the coins with me to get a shopping cart. I went to the customer service desk, the service there was the slowest, one customer was ahead of me and the female advisor took forever to clear the customer.
On my turn, I asked the female advisor PARWANA that I needed a shopping cart. She bluntly stated that the store staff has no access to open the shopping cart locks. That appeared to be a lie since every store needs to have that access for their operational needs. When I insisted, she stated she could give me change if I had a bill or could give me cash back to get a coin. She stated it is because of the surrounding area. I told her it was ridiculous. I asked for her name and she showed it to me from her name badge that was rotated inside. An Indian male staff with a turban (in a yellow vest) was around but was useless same as the other staff. I told her this was my first time to this location and I would not return to this location again.
I just bought a couple of urgent things that I could carry in my hands and did not buy heavy stuff that required me to have a shopping cart.

Sadly have watched the deterioration of this location over the years.
Once a bright, well stocked store with helpful employees. Is now empty shelves, dirty environment, RUDE employees who couldn't care to speak English. If you're lucky maybe 2 cashiers, and a couple self checkouts open. Forget customer service, no one around to ask and if there is they don't care to help, just send you to another department area to look for yourself , no more bagging groceries for you, just shove it all to one tiny end of the till and scoff at you for not being fast enough baging your own groceries *which they advertise is still part of their job duties in their job adds.
Disgusting, rude, and really a last resort place to shop if short on cash at the time. And even then it's outrageous for Disgusting rotten produce

It’s a Walmart. Like most Walmarts they have a bunch of employees that know nothing. But this is normal. The checkouts usually not too busy so that’s cool.

I keep trying and holding out that Walmart is good. Unfortunately this location has gone down hill. It's gross, the washrooms by customer service are gross. Such a shame.

So, I was at this Walmart location today, and I've been coming here for a little while. I noticed that they won't stop you if you walk out with goods from the store. I saw a guy with a reusable bag full of groceries walk right through the one way doors, with two Walmart employees witnessing it. They said they can't have him stopped, and that they can only ask for a receipt. It's all free now, I guess. I wonder how many other places are like this?
