Extremely rude and unfriendly. I visited this gallery with a friend who has some mobility issues on an extremely hot day in July. My friend went in while I parked the car and asked the woman working if she could possibly have some water as she saw they had a whole kitchen visible with coffee maker, etc. The woman just replied “no” and then asked my friend “is there something wrong with you?” She then told us that it would be better if we viewed the art on the website before hand so that we know which painting we want. What’s the point of going to a gallery? I hope that this woman learns empathy. It’s clear from the previous responses that these are not kind people and the artists should be made aware that they are being represented in this way.

The moment we walked in we were barely greeted, we were not approached or spoken to at all. We made a point of saying bye and the woman turned to us and gave us not even a smile but acknowledged slightly. I asked to speak to a manager and explained how terrible the service and greeting were and she said I did nothing to you. I explained that is the problem and she became rude because I asked to speak to the manager about our experience and was told they were not working. So I asked for managers card. She said no you cannot have it. I asked her why I could not have it as I wanted to share what a horrible experience this was for my girlfriend and I. She said because I am the owner and she turned her back to us. I can’t imagine any artist wanting their pieces to be represented like that.
We went over to LANDO gallery few doors down and found two beautiful pieces for our homes!
Save your time and go where you will receive a warm welcome, help picking out beautiful pieces and learning about the artists presented.
UPDATE: your response is chilling “spitefully” ????two girlfriends on a wonderful day shopping- we did not yell or use any foul language- we simply asked from the door on way out for the information of manager as the customer service was terrible. Reading other reviews that is a common concern. I would love for you to post the content as it will clearly show how we were not greeted we looked around, we were never approached for help, and then right before exiting we said bye and asked for manager. Your response is one that reflects how you deal with complaint rather than taking the feedback and making changes. Your mothers age is of no significance the three of us are all in mature age age bracket. The only difference is she was not professional or courteous. In fact she just did not even say hello. Facts. Your response should veer others away instead of apologizing to us and wishing that we did not have that experience.

Beautiful artwork in this gallery. A lot of city and landscape paintings. Of the 4 galleries along this stretch, this one seemed the least welcoming, as I only got a hello and no other interaction from staff. It appeared to be somewhat disorganized, as half of the gallery was more like a kitchen.

The art inside this gallery is beautiful and there is a lot to see here. Would recommend checking it out. Only issue I had was staff seemed less than friendly, as if they only speak to those they expect to purchase something. Some local buzz helps, even if they’re just viewers—something to remember!

We have purchased a number of art pieces from West End Gallery. We have always enjoyed the friendly & knowledgeable staff always willing to accommodate your interests. You can always take a piece home and see how it works in your home.

The owners of the gallery are amazing people. The selection is wonderful, the artists they have are extremely talented with a variety of styles, in different mediums and at differing price points. Much of our art is from there and we are proud to have it in our home and office.

Very disappointed with my trip to West end Gallery today. I drove into Edmonton from Fort Saskatchewan so I could browse at some art and naturally Went to 124st. Before I left I checked on here and it said it was open. When I got here the two people working there turned me away and said I could only visit with an appointment. The other 4 galleries on the same block were extremely friendly and made me feel quite welcome. The Artists are truly the ones who loose in this situation. I was excited to look at some Dana Irving paintings in person but unfortunately could not succeed. What is the point of having an Art Gallery if you don’t allow people to enjoy it? I will 100% buy my art elsewhere.

We purchased a lovely Fraser Brinsmead a while back. Due to some unfortunate damage recently, we contacted the gallery for advice. Lana and her staff were wonderful. They contacted Mr Brinsmead and he graciously agreed to repair the artwork for us. He did a fabulous job. We are so grateful for the gallery's excellent customer service and for the kindness of Mr Brinsmead.
