I deposited a government check from taxes at there machine everything was fine had the money deposited weeks later they took out 1700 out of my account. How are they able to steal government checks like this woke up this morning missing 1700

As a loyal customer of CIBC Bank for over 15 years, my recent experiences have been nothing short of disappointing.
Today, after enduring five years of negative encounters, I made the decision to close my last remaining account. Despite being in the branch in person, I was shocked to learn that they wouldn't accept cash to settle the remaining balance. A bank refusing cash transactions is unfathomable and raises serious questions about their commitment to customer service.
The absurdity of this policy left me questioning the competence of CIBC Bank. If a financial institution can't handle basic cash transactions, it's no wonder the Canadian dollar struggles. It's baffling that they would deny my money, especially when I was trying to close my account.
My frustrations extend beyond this isolated incident. Dealing with CIBC's customer service over the phone has been a nightmare. Endless wait times, frequent disconnections, and unhelpful representatives have become the norm.
Even visiting a branch in person offers no resolution, with long queues that seem to move at a glacial pace. It's unacceptable to subject customers to such inefficiencies.
What's even more concerning is the possibility that CIBC is hoping customers, like myself, don't settle their balances promptly, allowing the debts to accrue and thereby profiting off our financial struggles.
My longstanding relationship with CIBC Bank has come to a sour end due to their inability to provide basic services and satisfactory customer support. I urge others to think twice before entrusting their finances to an institution that fails to prioritize the needs of its clients.

CIBC (Branch in Timberlea) Our interaction with Mr. Raffy, Senior Financial Services Representative at CIBC, was outstanding.He performed an excellent job of helping us select the appropriate card and expeditiously activating the account. I appreciate CIBC for having such a great representative. He is really an asset for the bank.

They never answer the phone when you call and they don't follow through with phone call appointments. Waited for them to call at the designated appointment time only for rhem not to call or follow-up after they missed the appointment. Communication and customer service should be a much higher priority for a financial institution.

I have been banking with CIBC for over 10 years. I have always been treating well and as a valuable client. It had been the first time that i had applied for a line of credit and was treated with great care and attention by customer service representative Uchechi Adelure. From the beginning of the process, she carefully guided me with her vast knowledge and experience. Uchechi followed up on her word and informed me on the best ways to keep my interest payments as low as possible. I highly recommend seeking her advice for anyone banking with CIBC. On the 3rd person dealing with the funds for my rebuild! Crazy! Luckily no real issues yet, funds being delivered in time to the builder, lets hope it stays that way.
Hopefully with this rebuild soon! Be done with CIBC.
