I had one of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences of my life at the Walmart Clareview location today.
While simply browsing a PUBLIC store with a basket, I was stopped in the main aisle by a man who identified himself as “VICTOR” some kind of “secret shopper” or loss prevention. He approached me as if I was doing something suspicious, claimed I “looked confused,” and proceeded to question me in a way that felt accusatory, invasive, and completely inappropriate.
I was not stealing. I was not behaving strangely. I was doing what customers are allowed to do: browse.
Being singled out, stopped in a busy aisle, and treated like a suspect for no reason is humiliating and unacceptable. Flashing a badge and implying wrongdoing without cause is not customer service — it’s harassment.
If this is how Walmart Clareview treats paying customers, then something is seriously wrong with how staff are trained. Shoppers should not feel intimidated or profiled simply for looking around a store.
I will be avoiding this location going forward and strongly suggest management retrain their loss prevention staff on basic respect, professionalism, and customer rights.

Sincerely please do better with loss prevention. I was walking around the store browsing pajamas and I’m a lone female and the male individual is blatantly following me with direct eye contact and it was so obvious to the point I confronted him, genuinely thought it was a random male following me around. He made me extremely uncomfortable, says I look suspicious because I’m walking back and forth in the clothing area looking for sizes. I genuinely will never return to this location. He looks suspicious in his black trench coat following me around with direct eye contact, staring me down multiple times. Do better.

Horrible staff and store policy. This Walmart has been open till 11pm for atleast the last two weeks, with no warning at all me and my fiancé showed up after taking an uber at 10pm, to the store closing and workers telling atleast 20-30 of us people, many of us who had taken taxis or bussed there that we couldn’t come in and shop, even tho google maps says at this moment that they are open till 11. Such a shame. When many of us said we had spent money on taxis to get there they still wouldn’t let us in showing no empathy not even able to give us a gift card for the inconvenience. Not only would it be better for business to stay open till 11 anyways with how many of us were there, but you have handled the situation so poorly by giving a crowd of us so much attitude when we were honestly just confused and wanting to shop, I’m sure the lot of us that you’ve treated this way won’t be returning. Especially the guy who just wanted some baby formula ☹️

HORRIBLE BUSINESS. They are listed as open until 11 but closed at 10. Multiple people showed up trying to use the store as it was listed as open

Beef prices jumped 30%. I don't care if it's Canadian beef at this point import some beef for cheap from Australia or something. Carbon Tax is killing local options.

The staff there has NO idea about where products are or speak or understand English very good
You ask them where something is and they look blank or say they don’t have it
I went and searched and found it
This has happened many times

Worst experience. Team does not know how to greet customers. You just keep standing there and no one has time to say just a minute or anything. Worst department is mobility.

Was very disappointed in the customer service I received today, employees were scarce and hard to track down and when we finally made our way to electronics to purchase some big ticket Christmas presents employees seemed rather personally inconvenienced by mine and my families presence. An older woman with white/blondish hair and beard checked us out at the electronics desk and was quite unfriendly and rude, wished her a good day and she just stared at me and ignored me, not saying anything before moving on to chat with the people around her, I was very disheartened by this experience and will spend my money elsewhere going forward. I was nothing but kind and courteous to this worker since I work retail and understand some days are hard especially around Christmas/Black Friday but when people are kind to you, you should treat them with kindness.
