This Shell station went completely downhill overnight. It was recently sold, and ever since the ownership change, the customer service has become almost non-existent. There’s a clear shift in how things are run now, and it’s made what used to be a decent stop into one I try to avoid.
I’ve walked in multiple times and been left standing at the counter for several minutes before anyone even acknowledges me—just to buy a Slurpee or pay for something simple. Honestly, if it happens again, I might just leave with the item and consider it on the house. If staff can’t even look up from their phones to acknowledge a paying customer, that’s on the new ownership.
This morning was just another example: I walked in to pay for fuel, and the man at the counter didn’t even lift his head for nearly a full minute because he was on his phone. I don’t expect over-the-top friendliness—but basic respect, attention, and acknowledgment should be the bare minimum.
The energy in that store now feels cold, dismissive, and disconnected. It’s not about anyone’s background or ethnicity—it’s about how customers are being treated. I’ve experienced this kind of energy before, and it makes people feel like they’re unwelcome. It’s frustrating, disappointing, and honestly kind of sad to see a once-good place fall apart so quickly.

Garbage store. Poor customer service. They wouldn't even tell me the cost of fuel or other products at their store over the phone. Last choice for me in Gibbons.

There is only one person that actually uses gloves when handing slurpee cups. The guy with messy red hair has a bad attitude. Everyone should be using gloves when handling cups for people. The gloves are right there. One guy kept charging me $2.60 for a large when the rest charge $2.50. It’s ten cents but that’s not the point.There is one kid there that is a great worker. Young skinny guy. He uses gloves every time and I very much appreciate it.Sort your workers out!

The pumps never worked. If it is not the pump you have to run inside to pre-pay! When it's time pay for a purchases from the convenience store I often notice that the prices of goods doesn't match with the shelf advertised price.

I asked for a cup of water, however the owner will charge you for a single plastic cup. and wouldn't let me fill my own water cup? I have never had any gas station refuse to give me a cup to fill water or fill my own bottle. I filled up my gas and gave them business, however they wouldn't let me use their sink with tap water to even fill my own water bottle. very poor customer service. I Don't recommend this gas station to anyone. You should be ashamed!
