The older rooms are a dump, not sure about the newer building as we couldn't get room there because they don't have working TV the clerk said. I wouldn't stay here again.Rooms: The old building is run down and needs renovation or to be torn down.Food & drinks: Good selection of restaurants around though.

The rooms are a little outdated, but it was clean, and the lady at the front desk was so friendly; we enjoyed our stay there.

For the price at $140 there is better rooms within the same area.Rooms: The rooms are very outdated and need a lot of TLC done to them. Then maybe they would be more cozy and nice. They bedding had cigarette burns and light bulbs were missing. Even the lamp shade was missing on of the lamps.

This is an old motel style, parked right outside the rooms. Which was perfect for what we needed. It was very very dated, but everything did work - small kitchenette with fridge, stovetop, and sink, along with some dishes and cookware. No AC, which made it extremely hot. Ours had a weird smell, but again this is an old property - old carpets, furniture, bedspreads, wallpaper.... The lady who worked tirelessly on the rooms was awesome. It could be such a little gem, if it was updated just a bit.

Over the last 2 years we've spent significant time in Jasper, Banff, Canmore & Lake Louise. All of them were busier and more expensive than I've ever seen this year! So this long weekend, we wanted out of the City & decided to take a little longer drive to Grande Cache. SUPER happy that we did!! The view from everywhere in this cute little town is stunning! A different kind of mountain view & gorgeous! Tons of all natural stuff to do this weekend, which was the point. Hiking, relaxing, even a lake with beach! Big plus that this town is also just large enough that everything you need is here too! Another BIG plus ... the cost will be 1/3 of the usual mountain stops! Found an adorable retro motel Big Horn Inn/Motel ... love it! Super cute, straight out of the movies! And turns out the motel / restaurant is family owned & every one of them seems genuinely concerned with great customer service! It's refreshing! The food is yum by the way! We've decided to eat here every night this weekend. GO to Grande Cache. Stay & eat at the Big Horn! You'll be happy and your wallet will be too ;)

Need serious update and reno. We stayed at super 8 for same price and world of difference. Pros are...quiet and the staff friendly but the place is a dump. Ooops.

The hotel is nice enough, but dated. The blue bath tub was well overdue to be replaced, as was most of the furniture. That all would have been fine, but the lack of air conditioning and decades old smells sealed the deal. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
