Book this hotel if you want a comfortable and historic mountain experience! This hotel has been around for a long time and its age has a charm that cannot be overlooked. We had a vinyl player in our room to vibe out to after having a lovely breakfast in Papa George’s right downstairs. The hotel is centrally located right next to the information centre it’s easily walkable to the many points of interest in the townsite. We spent a beautiful week hiking in the fall and captured the northern lights right outside of our hotel. We will be back, thanks Astoria!

The room we had was small, not like the online pictures. The bathroom drainage had sewer smell coming up the drains that smelt horrid. Even with the door closed, you could smell it all night. No view from the window except a fake tree set on part of the roof and hanging baskets. The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. There is no elevator, and you have to pay to park and carry everything down the street if the one loading spot is taken.

Place wasn't much to look at from the outside but the rooms were very nice with a comfortable bed and the location couldn't be better - easy walking distance from all the restaurants downtown!!

Great location, very clean, polite capable staff - we could have used a smaller bed and more floor space, but that's not a big deal at all. We'd go back for sure.

Food and drinks: There's an in-house bar and a walk-in restaurant ... both of them are commendable

Low space but great view!!
Walkability: Very walkable to the city. Parking not available. Public parking available for 17$ a day just across street.
Noteworthy details: No parking available. Small rooms with great mountain view.

NEVER STAY HERE.
EDITED REVIEW AS I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO REPLY TO THE OWNERS COMMENT:
I booked for 4 adults and I have a 18 months old kid.
I cancelled my reservation through Expedia 3 mins late due to browser and I wouldn’t get a refund for it since it was “3 mins over 48 hours policy that they have”
I’m usually very careful about leaving reviews and I always have nothing but good things to say about small towns but this place was the worst ever.
The rooms are very tiny, the shower tap dint work, there is a bar downstairs and the people outside kept yelling for the longest time in the night and I was hoping for a relaxing quite experience in a get away like this. The bed was uncomfortable.
The window wall has a cardboard cover so it got super cold in the night.
the manager was very unfriendly - I had requested to cancel due to changes in itinerary but he would not budge in. It was so expensive and totally not worth it.
I had the worst experience here. Dont ever stay here, it’s not worth it, there are so many better and cheaper places in Jasper to stay.

It was a good experience for me. Good service. Room with view on the mountains. And the bed is soooo comfy. I slept very well!

A decent spot if you're passing through. Fun decor and super convenient to exploring downtown, but the shower wasn't working so well, swinging wildly between boiling and freezing. Given the relatively small size of the room, the shower occupies nearly a fifth of the entirety of the real estate, and while I don't need a room to do much, a working shower is pretty critical.

Rooms are very tiny. The bathroom is like being in a shower stall even when you’re not. They don’t have a parking lot so you’re paying $17/day to park in the municipal lot. My room was above the bar and didn’t hear a thing. (We stayed a Friday and Saturday)
Rooms: Super small and bathrooms are minute. The sink is outside by the bed
Food and drinks: The D’ed dog bar downstairs was great

Super nice hotel at the heart of Jasper with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Bathroom is a little tiny but definitely enough for a short stay. Also, amazing restaurants in the same building! Little tip: They don't tell you at the reception but there is free parking 5 walking minutes from the hotel 2 blocks down so you don't need to pay the 17 dollars a day.

Room was OK. Quite small, but in a pinch, it will get you by. It is what you would expect from a budget hotel.
My biggest annoyance is the shower. It would seemingly randomly go from whatever setting you put it at, to extremely hot, like burn your skin hot.
Nearby activities: Great nearby dining and gift shops.
