Everest Outdoor Stores Ltd. is a decent outdoor and hiking store with solid gear for camping and other activities. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They provide outstanding service, from finding perfectly fitting hiking boots to giving full tutorials on products like bear spray. They also offer good recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and hiking. While the shop is generally smaller with slightly less options and can be more expensive than other nearby stores, customers report that their service and good prices on specific items have literally saved trips. It is a great shop supporting the local community.
I was stuck in Banff with a deflated sleeping pad that I couldn't fix. These guys had a new pad for a good price. It literally saved my trip because I had four more camping nights that would have been extremely uncomfortable.
