Marmot Lodge is a great hotel in a great location at the entrance to Jasper, perfect as a base for exploring the town and national park. It is a straightforward, relaxing place offering good value and comfortable stays. The rooms are very clean, well-appointed, spacious, cosy, and comfortable, with some having a mountain view from the quieter back side of the property, which also avoids train noise. While not modern and lacking elevators, with a bit of a motel room feel, the facilities are great. The staff is consistently praised as friendly, helpful, very courteous, welcoming, and phenomenal, with quick, efficient, and positive check-in service. The lodge features a pool, an indoor hot tub, a covered outdoor hot tub, and a sauna. There is free car parking on site. The on-property Evil Dave's Grill restaurant is amazing, though busy, and there is a Starbucks on the property as well. Other restaurants in Jasper are within walking distance, which is convenient. It is a quiet place where guests sleep well, and many would definitely stay again.
