I was on the way to the airport from Central Alberta. My car which had a second hand transmission installed in Calgary three a code and fell into limp mode. Feeing concerned I was going to miss my flight, I called ahead and they said bring it in. They jumped in my car with their scanner tool and drove it on the highway to monitor the transmissions parameters. They cleared the codes and summized it was a stuck solenoid from the transmission sitting. Gave me reassurance that it could be a temporary concern untill the the transmission has more miles put on it. Peace of mind before I fly out, priceless

Brought my 2019 GMC sierra in last week for a repair. Engine wasn't running properly, truck was shaking violently. I was told that I had coolant in my engine, cylinder 3 misfire, blown cylinder head gaskets and spark plugs/coils deteriorating. They quoted me $6200.... brought it to a friend for a second opinion.... he told me it was just spark plugs and coils (one of the coils was actually ripped apart by the mechanic) Charged me $450 all in and now my truck runs better than ever. ICON automotive are a bunch of crooks, do NOT trust them with anything. Mechanics who cant tell the difference between coolant and fuel should find a different career. If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting how people can take advantage of you. TAKE YOUR VEHICLES ELSEWHERE PEOPLE and you'll save yourself thousands of dollars!!!

Super friendly staff, I brought my vehicle in with several problems and had them fixed in only a couple days.
After a diagnostic, they let you know the price of the work and ask if you'd like them to go ahead with it so that there's no surprises.
The invoice/receipt was very detailed, and describes the steps they took to diagnose the issues. Extremely helpful for me regarding the one issue I'm hoping I'll be able to fix on my own time, lol.

These guys are great!!! I came in got a quote and after the work was done my bill was $1 cheaper then the quote and when I told them I had to pick up my truck on a Sunday they sent someone to meet me with my keys. Honest,great customer service and quality work!!! Highly recommend Icon automotive

When you call a transmission shop to see if they have the discontinued parts for your transmission before you bother taking it there. Before you can tell them what piece you’re looking for they tell you they’re a transmission shop not a parts store with a certain level of arrogance on the phone! Hope they treat their other customers better than that.Called three other places Nobody had a problem looking ,very respectable about it but they weren’t able to get the part I needed. Good luck to anybody that takes her stuff here hope it works out

Figured out I needed a new alternator. I went to them cause they were close to my work. When I took it in they charged me 400 to tell me that I needed a new alternator. which I told them going into the shop in the first place. They then quoted me a grand to replace the alternator. The alternator was only 420 and it took me 45 minutes to replace myself. If I could give less stars I could. Please take your car somewhere elseService: Auto battery maintenance
