We asked for help and they said they would get someone. They never showed up. This didn't happen just once but twice. They lost our business we won't be shopping there anymore.

On November 12th, 2024, I went to Best Buy because my laptop was slowing down. The guy at Geek Squad had a look and told me that I have a lot of system files slowing down my laptop and asked me to come back the following day (early in the day) so that he would have a look at it.
I went in at 1pm on November 13th 2024 and he wanted to book my laptop in. I had no problem with that. The trouble is that I asked how long it would take and he told me it will take him 48 hours plus the 3 days worth of work and if I could not wait that long then .......... And then he walked off leaving me standing at the counter!!
So much for customer service!!

I was approached by 2 different sales consultants while in the store and they both seemed knowledgeable and friendly when I was asking questions and getting feedback about bluetooth speakers and ear buds. This isn't a particularly large outlet store and it seems relatively easy to find the items that you are looking for...

Cant believe this is how business works now. Wife called asking about washer and dryer availability at our local store. They told her buy online, that's all they are gonna do. So we went online. Bought the set, had it delivered. Dryer was damaged by delivery service. Delivery driver rushed through the paperwork for a signature. Didn't fill out the rest of the form. Been getting the run around ever since. Went thrthe call center. Now gotta wait 3 days for them to have the time to call me. Worst buying experience ever. What a gong show. They can come get it all and give me my money back.

Mobile service staff (cell phone department) on Sunday, Tristen and then Misiksk, were knowledgeable and patient with all my questions to compare and understand phone plans and phones. Misiksk even helped me by finding a feature on my existing phone that I didn't know it had, demonstrating her insight. She didn't just answer the questions I asked but had the skill to answer questions I didn't even know to ask.
Not a critique but general FYI to others looking at phone plans: Best Buy staff are most familiar with those phone plans they can help you set up. Others like Public Mobile may have comparable or better deals but won't come up in conversation with Best Buy staff unless you know about those alternatives already and ask.

Gatlyn was fantastic answered all my questions and helped me purchase a new laptop to my requirements, the geek squad were okay but gatlyn hard carried them for a 5 star rating

Couldn't give a lower rating
Bought a dyson v15 6 months ago, it crapped out, had proof of purchase. Would not honor manufacturers warranty that's 2 years
IMO if you sell it you should honor the warranty
In the past 3 years I have purchased over 8k of various items
And I won't spend another dime

The first question asked was "what phone do you want?" The customer is expected to have done some preliminary research. I found the whole process to be much less stressful than I had anticipated. Well, cellphones are a lot more complicated now than when I last shopped. If you are looking for economy, be sure and purchase an unlocked phone that allows you to easily change provider.

Took in computers to be recycled, and an assortment of other electronics. A salesperson came & took the odds and ends away while we visited the Geek counter where we met Jeremiah to clean up the computers. Great explanations and recommendations.

We went to Best Buy Lethbridge on July 17. I did not realize they close at 7pm, and we got there at 7:40pm. I just had an order pickup, and a very nice young man by the name of Greg came to the door and said he would grab my pickup, after checking my ID of course! I was very appreciative, as we had come from out of town. It was my fault for not checking store hours, but Greg was very helpful!! ??

Very sincere thanks to The Fabulous Four who work here: Tristan, Colton, Morgan and Jesse! Their expertise, professionalism and kindness made our visit to Best Buy, first to get an iPhone, and then a large screen TV, absolutely wonderful. They were so keen to help and we really enjoyed all the comedic banter between us. Best Buy is definitely Best, in many more ways than one! Thank you so much!!

I have had instances with two more grumpy employees [One here and one in Medicine Hat during the pandemic I haven't really had issues with The Geek squa.They've helped me with an old claim that a phone manager [whom was a Jerk] dismissed me about at the time.It's difficult to return a phone without a phone. Two-factor or step authentication is great but it's got some WACK problems when it comes to Accessibility of Services in a broad sense. Especially for the disabled, disadvantaged, and the elderly.The staff here have finally managed to help me electronically Un-Flip meself.

I have used them for new phones for years, bought a screen protector and use their life time warranty to get new ones… went last Sunday to get it replaced, was told at customer service they didn’t have the glass one but privacy. Okay so took it over to the phones desk and said oh this isn’t the right one I have a 13 pro max and the box said 15 plus. The employee Eric said oh they all fit the same.. We left and it was around closing time and by the time I get half way home I notice it does not fit my phone and covers my front camera… I was lied to. Contacted Best Buy online was told someone would contact me in 48 hours.. nothing contacted again Thursday… same thing nothing.I went to a store that was 5 mins away from me instead of 30 that had my correct screen protector and honest employees and wasn’t wasting a 25 minute drive across town to be lied to and waste more of my time.I do not recommend this store and don’t plan to shop here anymore.
