My 5 Star experience turned into a 1 Star experience:
I purchased a brand new truck from Murray Chev July 26 2024 and their body shop did a bunch of damage to the truck while applying the protective films and coatings. I was told to get an estimate from my local body shop and Murray Chev would cover the costs. I've got the estimate and Murray Chev is doing everything they can to not pay the invoiced amount for the repair. They tell me that it's their policy to pay the estimate and not the invoice. I've asked for a copy of their policy and I was denied. They then altered the estimate without contacting the repair company and sent me a check which is significantly less than the repair amount. I've filed complaints against Murray Chev with the BBB and AMVIC which my insurance company suggested I do before filing an insurance claim.
To make things worse, Murray Chev tried to wash their hands clean and pass me off to the company who they outsourced the work to, they refuse to take any accountability for the work I PAID THEM TO DO.
I must say that the salesman Joshua and the finance department Nathan were amazing to deal with and if my vehicle had not been damaged, the buying experience would have been amazing, everything after the purchase has been a complete nightmare.

I have bought my LAST 2 cars from Murray's in Lethbridge. A number of months ago I was given a completed repair cost from a service advisor over the phone. When my wife went to pay and pickup the car, they CHARGED HER A HIGHER PRICE than the one I was given over the phone for the exact same work described to me earlier.
I gave them another chance last week with a simple coolant flush and fill appointment. While checking the car they said I needed a new thermostat which made my bill over $800. On the service order, they recommended a new air filter (didn't offer to change it). I have changed filters before, so when I got home, I went to switch out the air filter and noticed the air filter bracket was BROKEN. I called two times over two days, couldn't get an answer so I left voicemails to call back, I even gave the part # of the bracket I would need replaced. It's been 6 days, NO CALLBACK yet.
You can buy a car anywhere but the service after the purchase is what sets dealers apart. I will DEFINITELY be SHOPPING ELSEWHERE as Murrays has disappointed me for the last time.
* UPDATE - Thanks for the email invitation Murrays (couple weeks later), but I got the air bracket part myself, installed it in 5 minutes. I tried calling twice previously and left voicemails. A customer shouldn't have to make 3 attempts to speak with someone. Of course I get a sales response and not a service response. No further follow up is needed. Will be going to another dealer from this point on.

We are very happy with our experience at Murray! Jeremy and Paul were both friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. We were able to trade in our old vehicle and get a new to us Traverse that suits our family much better!

Been trying to contact the dealership to have them cancel something I don’t want anymore that I tried canceling when I first bought my car here. But no responses through email or no call backs after I have called and left voicemails! I just keep getting charged for it! Crazy

After being charged "dealership prices" for a repair, my vehicle stalled and would not drive just one corner away from the shop in the middle of the busiest intersection in Lethbridge.
When calling the dealer, they told me that they would not be able to help me and that I would need to sort out a tow truck myself. Only after going back and forth with the tech did they finally cave and call a tow-truck for me.
Turns out they did not road-test my vehicle after the repair, and the throttle-body was not re-programmed.
Needless to say, my vehicle has not been back.

Excellent customer service. The staff I dealt with at Murray Chevrolet were very knowledgeable, professional and courteous.
Buying a new vehicle can be nerve-wracking, but they made it simple.

Jeremy was awesome! Very helpful, very respectful, very friendly. Couldn’t have had a better salesman. Would recommend customers to deal with Jeremy. He went above and beyond for our family, my daughter is very happy with her “new” to her vehicle. Paul in finance was very helpful with us too.
I initially was dealing with Cam, I would not recommend. Did not have a good experience with him, he did not call back when the vehicle was back from getting detailed, he also did not call back when the others who were interested in the vehicle backed out.

It has taken a few months to come up with the words to express my thanks and gratitude to Josh , Paul and the rest of the team at Murry's. This is my second car purchase from their and Josh and his team exceded my expectations when they were able to get me exactly what I wanted it was a hard find but he pulled through with what he promised and got me my 2024 Limitted edition RS Traverse. I absolutely l9ve this car! Highly recommend this dealership best place to buy a car in southern Alberta.

It’s too bad that you’re not always honest with your customers. 3 years ago we purchased a car from here, and 3 months later we had a big rainstorm. Imagine our surprise when the inside of our car started pouring water and filling up the cup holes in the front seat! After inspecting what was going on, we were told that at one point, the entire roof of our car had been replaced and not sealed properly. When we reached out to the dealership, we were told there was nothing they could do, and it was out of their hands. Thanks to the issue of water getting inside the car every time it rains, there have been never ending electrical problems. Last summer we experienced car trouble on our way home from the city. We got the vehicle back to Lethbridge and into the service shop at the dealership. We were told the car needed a new transmission and the cost would be over $3000! The funny thing is, we drove the car home that day and have been driving it ever since…. So, it doesn’t really impress me that they also tell people that thousands of dollars of repair work need to be done, when obviously it isn’t true. ?
