The staff is always too busy to help and too rude to care. All they do is talk to each other and go on their cell phones.

Front staff are terrible! Went in to the emergency dpt, opened the door and was immediately yelled at by all three front staff. I told them to relax all I did was walk in a door that automatically opens (they told me they usually lock it)and I'm in pain and need medical attention and I also called before to let them know I was coming down, they told me I looked fine and literally called the cops on me for break and enter lol I told the cops what happened and they asked the staff to do their jobs this time and look me over. Turns out I was not fine and it was indeed a medical emergency. Good times

As a former employee at Mayerthorpe Hospital, I can attest that it is a mighty healthcare facility. The clinical expertise, dedication to patient care, willingness to collaborate, excellent management, and kindness exhibited by the medical, pharmacy and allied health team have left an enduring impression. Working there was genuinely a wonderful experience. If I were a patient, I would have full confidence in the team's efforts to better my health. Gratitude to the team and management for creating such an exceptional workplace and healthcare setting.

I wouldn't wish this place on anyone, 2018 they turned a SA victim away, 2019 mother had a stroke infront of the Dr and they didn't even catch it and here 2023 i've been in 9 times for the same problem with absolutely 0 help, but they'll send someone away with a Major infection telling them to deal with it. Dr OTEGHEKPEN time to find a new profession.I will say, the nurses are at least amazing, they deserve better though.

Currently sitting an emergency room while I write this. Just need a prescription written for an infection. Been here for 2+ hours now. Was first in line. I just want to get out of here so they can see more patients who were behind me. I asked what was taking so long, they had no reasoning.Nurse was nice she gets both stars!

It's too bad that the young nurses seem to have nothing better to do on the acute care wing than to play on their cell phones.I have an elderly family member in this hospital and I cannot wait til placement comes available elsewhere. She is definitely NOT getting quality care here its a small community and I've heard these stories before. Shameful

I was visiting from Toronto and had a mishap. The treatment I received at this hospital was beyond amazing the staff were so nice and helpful and made me feel very very comfortable if I could give it more than five I would. Thank you for taking such good care of me!

With the exception of one, the nurses I have come into contact with in the evenings while sitting at the bedside of my elderly loved one(who is in acute care) have been rude, impatient and neglectful. The team left him to fend for himself for hours on end, and did not answer the call button, despite him being unable to use the bathroom, or stand up, or move without severe pain. He had no catheter, so this meant they left him laying in a puddle of his own urine for several hours because his hands shook too much and were too swollen to position the plastic bottle they left him with. This evening, I pressed the call button once, because he sounded like he was gagging and then choking. A nurse did actually show up for this call, however she was irritated and rude, with her hands i her pockets, and I found myself apologizing for disturbing her. It is not as though we are harassing the staff by pressing the call button, we literally pressed it once yesterday, and once today. It is also very quiet in the facility this evening and I can hear the nurses laughing in their sitting area. Having always had such great experiences with nursing staff, and having so much respect for healthcare workers, I find this really disappointing, and I am shocked by the lack of empathy I’ve witnessed here.

My grandfather was in this hospital with pneumonia and Covid. You guys decided to have him laying down And not elevated what were you trying to do? My grandpa could’ve drowned and could’ve passed away. Are used to rave and how good this hospital was until now. Not only many years ago the one doctor is the reason why my cousin passed away now what is the reason why my grandpa almost passed away because he could’ve drowned. And what is family are supposed to be like oh it’s OK he almost killed my grandpa or dad or brother or uncle no this is not OK something needs to be done
