I recently purchased a jacket from Mountain Warehouse to assess its suitability for winter. Since the only way to judge its effectiveness was to wear it briefly outdoors, I returned it the next day as it didn't meet my needs. Despite being within the 60-day return policy, I faced resistance from the cashier "Rachael", who initially refused to process the refund, claiming it had been worn. After some discussion, they refunded me but added an unnecessary comment about not expecting the same treatment next time. I understand the importance of policies, but I believe the return process should be more customer-friendly, especially when items are returned promptly and in good condition.

Great place if you need good quality clothes and shoes.
Excellent service, competent and friendly staff.
I'm surprised by the negative reviews here, since I have been in this store many times and always very pleased with both - my purchases and the good service.

Absolutely terrible experience with mountain warehouse today. I brought my 1&3 year old in to do an exchange on a present I received. Right away, the lady “helping” us was telling my kids not to touch things. I then proceeded to the shoe area to try on my proper size for my exchange and she was again telling them what to do in a rude tone. I had previously asked if they had any winter boots on sale because I was going to buy some winter boots in addition to my exchange but with her talking down to my 1&3 year old, I decided to tell her she is terrible with kids and we are leaving. Not only did they miss out on a sale of winter boots but I will not be back and I will NOT be purchasing my kids winter snowsuits from them anymore. The way we were treated from a store that sells children’s clothes was terrible. If you don’t want kids in your store, don’t sell kids items. I will make sure I tell everyone who asks how my experience with your store was and how belittled I felt as a mother trying to do an exchange.

First of all, to Derek who posted a complaint about not being able to return a jacket, I was in the line behind you. Dude, the jacket was dirty. I could see it all over the sleeves. Why would you think any store would allow you to return a clearly worn and used product? You were rude, abrasive and just plain horrible to the salespeople. So your review is incredibly unfair.
Secondly, I have been in this store many times and I have found ALL of the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have also seen the way some customers treat them. I am impressed with how professional they are despite incredibly rude and entitled customers.
So if you have had a bad experience with staff in this store, maybe you ought to look at yourself and be honest about how you are treating THEM!

Zero stars. I’ve never been more unimpressed by a company and how poorly I’ve been treated. I was sent the wrong size of an order and attempted to contact customer service to have it resolved and it’s been a horrendous experience. I sent five emails, called three times and left voicemails because no one would answer, I commented on their latest Instagram post and sent a DM, and then I messaged them via Facebook out of absolute desperation trying to get a hold of someone to help me with my order. This all occurred over the period of TWO weeks. The only reply I received was an email that was obviously AI and it was completely useless and unhelpful. Finally someone emailed me back and they still weren’t helpful and then said it would cost me $10 to return my item as they don’t offer exchanges. Absolutely not. I should not have to pay to return an item- that’s absurd. Especially after the way I’ve been treated. This is unacceptable. I’ve never had such a terrible experience with a company before. This has all been so upsetting and stressful. I will never ever be a returning customer. Ridiculous.

Highly don’t recommend this place, if I would have known what the service is like I never would have dropped any money here. They told me I had 2 months to return a jacket once bought and I tried to return it with the tags only 2 weeks after purchase and I had the receipt. They told me because I wore it I couldn’t return it. I hate to leave a bad review but I want clients to be aware that the return policy is not what they might think it is either.

I went in to exchange something and the 2 staff members were more interested in their conversation than helping me! There was no stock.
I had tried to get ahold of the store but apparently the phone isn’t working!!
Overall my 3 hour round trip was a complete waste of time and money!!

Friendly stuff, good price policy, clean store. I like an outdoor activities and always go shopping during the season to that store.
