This is the WORST bank for students. I have been sent in circles for damn near a year, about being removed from a student bank account and being transferred onto a preferred package account. After not being notified about the change I contacted them and sent another proof of enrolment , because they decided my previous one wasn’t good enough, which cost a decent amount of money each time and was ghosted. It’s been a year of getting told, go into the bank, contact customer support, go into the bank, contact customer support, etc. So if you’re a student just don’t bother.

This branch and bank are the most inept bunch I've ever dealt with. Im handling an estate with 2 banks. ATB has been impeccable. Scotia has botched every aspect of banking. Personal. Riffs. Investments. And they've charged huge handling fees. Dont bank with Scotia.Uddate. I opened another Scotiabank account for Mexico business. They botched this as well.. I guess I'm a slow learner

I have to write another review for this bank. First to clarify, that the front line staff are great and friendly. When it comes to all other products (mortgage, loans...) that's a whole other story you don't get to see unless you need one. Sad part is that manager (Dale) only cares about the reviews you leave once you get an email from them, so after the last negative one (after raising fees and eliminating interest on some of my accounts) he made sure I don't get to leave a review any more. That is his personal solution of not getting a negative one from me again...I wanted to change my mortgage with them because of the low interest rates. But his solution was basically "don't bother us, we wasted enough time dealing with you"... it wasn't in those exact words, but that's how I read it. So guess what, I dealt with it myself. They lost my mortgage that I am now paying less than half interest they were charging me, I have closed the account they started to charge fees on, I have transferred my investment accounts I had with them...Hope he is happy and proud of his accomplishment.Just remember people, there are always other options and they are either free or charge less and pay higher interest than the "big boys" that rake in billions in profit that you are helping to pad... You have a choice, so make it.

Great and friendly front line staff. I have not dealt with anyone in this branch that was not totally efficient. Also received great service when I recently sold our home and moved. The mortgage process was seamless and one of the reason I have always used BNS. But the BNS rep for the mortgage was the best I have every dealt with.

I have had an amazing experience with this branch always, they are always helpful and go way beyond. The branch manager Dale is willing to listen and the staff know people in person I feel treated like an important customer regardless of my status. Thank you Scotiabank I will always recommend you to my peers and friends!

I had a memorable experience with the branch the manager of customers came out to assist when I needed extra help, the front staff knew me by my name I felt valued. thank you for a good customer service. I have banked with other institutions before Scotiabank is my new home!

I love Olds Scotianbank. The staff are generally quite friendly and always helpful. HOWEVER, the bank closes at 4pm everyday... what ever happened to good ole 9-5? And not open even a little later on the weekends...
