I would like to share my experience with RONA Plus at the South Store in Red Deer, Alberta. I recently completed a full renovation of my house and bought a lot of materials from RONA. When I had some lights left over, I planned to return them. However, when I went to the store, I didn’t have the receipt, and they told me it was impossible to process the return without it. They offered me a gift card, but I explained that I needed the money refunded to my credit card to help pay off the renovation expenses. They said that wasn’t possible, so I told them I’d try to find the receipt.
After finding a few receipts (though not all of them), I returned to the store. When I asked for the gift card, they informed me that the manager was not in and that I’d need to come back at 8:30. I explained that this was my third time visiting and asked if someone else could help me. However, they said only the manager knew how to proceed with the return process. Frustrated, I told them I was tired of the back-and-forth and that they were losing a customer. They responded that it was fine, and I pointed out that customers are essential to their business and their paychecks. They still seemed unconcerned.
In my personal experience, RONA Plus does not offer good customer service or effective management. I wouldn’t recommend RONA Plus. We have many building supply stores in Red Deer—choose one with better customer service and a more flexible return policy.

There's hardly any staff left here. 6 years ago there was plethora of staff to help out, now.....barely a soul. Hard to get help for a diy project when there are no people here for me to ask for help. Hire more people

Love this place..however the arrival of the carpet is taking forever...😪😪😪...absolutely love the staff in the paint section. Very helpful and lovely to talk to. Good job guys keep up the good work. Love the live plants there. Great store

Always super knowledgeable and helpful. This is a hardware store that always seems to have adequate staff for your needs. Shelves are well stocked and the installation company was contacted quickly for my hot water tank. Special shout out to Chole who is always one of the first friendly faces I see and always makes an extra effort to reach out and see if you need help with anything

One of my favorite stores heck, I would even work there. Some of the new staff doesn't greet people properly, though, they have to make sure they're on their toes and not being too shy. One of my favorite stores in our city always love to see improvements and say hi to the wonderful staff. Better prices than some places also.

I recently shopped at Rona for the first time to purchase flooring vinyl, a paint bucket, and some additional items for my home. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience, especially compared to other stores like Home Depot.
The staff at Rona were incredibly helpful, particularly Kaushik and Arshdeep. They took the time to understand my needs and suggested products that were not only of excellent quality but also more affordable than what I found at Home Depot. Their recommendations were spot-on, and I felt confident in my purchases.
Additionally, I appreciated the store's layout and the ease of finding what I needed. The checkout process was smooth, and I even received some discounts that made my shopping experience even better.
Overall, Rona exceeded my expectations in terms of product quality, price, and customer service. I'll definitely be returning for future home improvement needs!

Since Rona took over the store has gone down hill. I'm renovating another house, went in to buy 4 items. 2 of the items, I got ....you have to buy it online now. They were just ordinary sinks. 1 item they didn't have at all anymore. Sorry I went elsewhere.
