I was in the store today asking about certain types of dog food and when asked why I wanted a food with grains in it when I shared my concern around potential heart disease the lady laughed in my face then when I decide I was going to buy the Royal Canin brand she continued to Insult me and my choice of food. So I said I was going to take my business elsewhere because I didn’t like how I was being treated . She gladly said good. I did advise her when she became a vet I would take her opinion into consideration. All this because I wanted a food with grains and acana didn’t carry what I was looking for so I was going to get a different brand. She continued to insult me and telling me to educate myself more. Well because it’s not entirely known why we are seeing increased cases of cardiomyopathy in large breed dogs I do take into consideration my vets option and make the best decision that I’m comfortable with for my pets. I take pride in supporting my local business, however this store has lost my business now. I used to buy majority of all my pets needs there.

I went in the store. Looked around. Couldn't find what I was looking for. The lady employee was playing with the bird. I asked her if they carried a specific product and the response I got was, "Only if she ordered it." Then she went back to playing with the bird and ignored me so I left and ordered it on Amazon.I assume the 'she' the employee referred to is the boss or manager or owner... Complete failure in customer service. I knew I could get it on Amazon but I was shopping in my neighborhood and tried to shop local for my herd of pets... I won't make that mistake again. What horrible customer service. That lady has been working there for years.

Even though we live in the neighborhood, we would rather drive to the southside PetValu to receive better, respectful service. The staff at the Timberlands location are generally friendly and helpful. However, we have had several negative encounters with the manager/owner here that have kept us away since. They do not seem at all interested in helping you out when you have questions and seem annoyed when you need assistance with anything. What really upset us though, was when we were purchasing reusable pee pads - we noted the quantity on the package stated '3 pads', but it was evident that one of the pads in the package was missing; this was also the last package left, so we couldn't just grab another one with the right quantity. We approached the staff at the front to request a discount/compensation, and understandably they needed approval from the manager/owner. The owner was quick to accuse us of stealing one of the pads, which was extremely upsetting and insulting - not representative of good customer service at all. Ultimately, after a lot of pack and forth, we finally did receive a discount for the product, but after receiving so many unfair, accusatory claims, we will never be returning.

They rush you when you’re bathing your dog. I was nine months pregnant trying to wash my dog, was not even there fifteen minutes when the staff asked if I was almost done because someone else wanted to use the dog wash. They Clean litter boxes in the dog baths which is extremely unsanitary and the shampoo and conditioners are always empty and filled with water. Save your money and don’t waste your time going here.Edited to say I did email the company and did not get an apology or resolution, rather told there was nothing that could be done about my concerns.

Great service! It was our first time using the dog baths and the lady working was excellent! Even when my dog started yelling back at the parrot lol ?♀️
