I had an excellent experience at the Shell car wash! The process was quick, efficient, and very thorough. My car came out looking spotless and shiny — it honestly looked better than I expected. The equipment seemed modern and well-maintained, which gave me confidence in the quality of the wash. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and hassle-free. I also appreciated the affordable pricing for such a high-quality service. It’s clear that Shell takes pride in their car wash, and it shows in the results. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly to keep my car looking its best. Highly recommend this car wash to anyone who wants great service and a sparkling clean vehicle!

I went to the gas station in Sherwood Park on July 7/2025 to get a car wash. I pulled in, stopped when the machine told me to stop and as it started foaming my car and then the machine started moving around my vehicle but it malfunctioned, and a large piece of steel slammed into the back of my vehicle. There was no cooperation from the staff and only yelling and screaming when the owner was contacted by the staff and put on speakerphone. I would rate this place a zero if I was able to.

We visited this location on July 7, 2025, for gas and a car wash. During the wash, the equipment malfunctioned and violently struck the rear of my mother’s vehicle - while we were inside, with a child in the back seat. It was a frightening and dangerous incident.
After it happened, the staff were evasive and dishonest. They falsely claimed they didn’t have their own insurance and told us to call Shell’s head office, providing a fake phone number for us to call. Despite knowing the car wash was malfunctioning - with metal arms slamming into vehicles, they continued trying to sell car washes to other customers while we waited for help that never came.
I attempted to warn a senior citizen about the danger when he asked for a car wash, and a staff member threatened to call the police if we informed anyone else. When the owner was contacted, he was put on speakerphone and began shouting into the store without even confirming who he was speaking to. No one asked if we or the child were okay.
We eventually found the correct contact information for the main office ourselves, and they confirmed that the store manager should have provided the insurance information directly. Instead, the following day, the manager called both my senior mother and me to separately berate us and continued to refuse to provide the insurance details.
Worse still, he told us directly that he planned to accuse us of backing into the equipment - despite knowing that wasn't true and before he had even reviewed the surveillance footage. This was his stated plan before making any effort to investigate what actually happened. It was clear he had no concern for us, our child, or the safety of any future customers.
This location showed an alarming level of negligence and hostility in the face of a serious equipment failure. If your vehicle was damaged at this car wash after 2:30 p.m. on July 7, be aware that the staff and management were fully aware of the malfunction and continued to operate the car wash regardless of the risk to customers. A police report is now on record with the RCMP about this.
I strongly urge others to avoid this location entirely - for your own safety and peace of mind

This car wash always have wrong operating time. The Shell app shows it’s open but many times I would go there and find out that it’s actually closed.

The customer service at this location is sad. Today I drive up, the worker is outside washing gas pumps. She looked at me when I get out of my van and again once I’m in the store and continues to wash the gas pump. Doesn’t stop until she’s gone. Then she has time to help me, but he’s not friendly at all. This is the second time I have gone to this location recently and have to wait on a worker.I also work in customer service when anyone walks into the establishment I’m working at it is my job to greet them and help them if I can if I can’t or if I need a minute, I have the courtesy to let the person know that.

These Guys have a garbage touchless car wash system for a automatic car wash !They do not service it they’re using old outdated worn out Equipment they’ve never done preventative maintenance on their touchless car wash .I have to wash twice to get a car wash at a minimum FYIAlso I’m adding that these guys are cheating you out of some soaking time and a separate Wax because they mix the soap and wax together to save the company water for a rinse after the wax application!!!!!!! SNEAKY SHELL OWNERS !!!I’m never wasting my hard earned money on these guys againThanks for fixing the car wash today!
