Associates were very helpful in taking the time to find my item up high tucked away behind a few other boxes.Would definitely pick this home depot again for stock that is actually in when it says it is.

I bought paint at Sherwood park location. When a guy mixed it, i mentioned that it seems very yellow. He did not say anything - i started painting - sure enough completely different tone. I brought it back, showed them an old can and a new one that they have completely different shade (tone). Lady in paint department and manager of some sort were so defensive, almost like did something wrong with the can of paint. they mixed a new one and when i tried to see if paint is matching the old can, they started laughing at me. it was so humiliating. Paint cost 100 dollars a gallon, not 10.

Spoke to 4 people, 3 young lady cashiers that had no interest in speaking to me and brushed me off, and one older lady at the customer service desk. None of them would look up if a sink was in stock that I had a sku & model number for and I was told they were not allowed to leave their station. I work in customer service so this was extremely disappointing to experience.

Margaret in the paint department was excellent to deal with yesterday, she helped me pick colours and types of paint and accessories. Really appreciated the help, she was very patient as I had to confirm stuff with the boss (wife).

It's hard to buy large items in the store and get them loaded in your truck. I bought a vanity and asked for a forklift. After some grumbling the attendant came back with a forklift. Item was on a skid. We lined it up with the truck so the driver just had to pick it up and drive straight in. But he wouldn't because he said he needed Supervisor present and had to set up gates. So instead he went and found a couple other attendants and we all lifted the 250 skid by hand???? While the forklift just sat there. They chose to risk hand and back injury. I was so confused. Feel like they are trying to force us into home delivery for the $75 dollar charge. Lowes on the other hand just loads you up and you leave. No muss no fuss.

If I could give 0 stars I would? My poor husband 62 yrs young and no help not a single friggin person oh he was offered a ladder. The lumber my husband needed was on the third shelf and I had had enough.I go looking for help and a minimum of 8 people chin wagging.Emily comes over at this point it is time for me to leave before I really get upset. My husband goes to the till May I speak with your manager ( WHY) was the response Good grief can it get any worse oh yes it does folks. The manager was Emily, and not a single thing done to compensate us for the brutal service at this store.500 dollars later and they treat you like this.NEVER AGAIN AND WE ARE GOING TO THE TOP OVER THIS BECAUSE WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES NOT GETTING HELPED IN THE LUMBER DEPARTMENT.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.Oh we did take the help at the end because of course they knew if we said no we had no case.Well we do and what if one of those poor men fell.

I would suggest anyone thinking of renting a tool from Home Depot think again. Rentals are not their primary business and they do not seem to service or inspect their tools before renting them. It was not until getting the two-man powered auger I rented out to the site and starting it that we realized that it was missing the exhaust tube and blew exhaust right in the face of one of the operators. This meant standing off to the side to avoid breathing the fumes, rendering the machine almost unusable. The auger also leaked gas and oil quite badly - gas poured out any time you had to set it down, harming my grass, and oil was dripping down the auger from the engine case. The job site was quite a drive away in the country, so going back for a replacement was not an option. When a machine cannot be used correctly or safely as provided due to lack of maintenance, it should not be rented out until repaired. This tells me that Home Depot is not inspecting or maintaining their equipment. If you rent from Home Depot, expect a sub-par machine that is missing parts or features, and if you're ok with that then press on. If you aren't, visit a dedicated rental house as I will in the future, to complete the job I could not with the tool Home Depot gave me. A $10 discount on the rental fee, while appreciated, feels insufficient on hindsight; since I wasn't provided a useable tool, I should not have been charged a rental fee period. The only way I would consider renting again is if that fee is returned to me due to the tool being in poor condition. Had I received a tool that worked properly and still failed to complete the job, I would be happy to eat that cost. When a tool is in bad condition and becomes the reason you can't get a job done, being charged for the rental feels a bit like taking one on the chin.
