What a ripoff, all cabbage and no sauce, no meat and hardly any rice.

Their Onion and Rice Cabbage Rolls are awesome and locally made in Sherwood Park!

All thick cabbage and little filling twice in a row. Very disappointed. Tried two separate packages. Not like homemade to me.

When I lived in Sherwood Park, I used to buy the bacon and rice and they were great. I would put in a big casserole dish, pour a mixture of onion soup mix, tomato soup and tomato paste over and cook at 350 for an hour or so. Always a hit at gatherings.I have to see if Sobeys or Safeway in Wiinipeg carry these. I do make my own, but sometimes I don't feel fiddling with all the work.

I was really looking forward to these cabbage rolls, one of our favourite meals and I thought it was great that they were from a local company right here in Sh Pk. Well, we’re terribly disappointed these were absolutely disgusting. We got the rice and beef - The cabbage was tough and bitter and tasted like sauerkraut. I thought I’ll just scoop out the inside and eat it with the sausage I prepared - busy night, I don’t have time to prepare something else. Well the soggy meatless mess I was met with in the middle resembled nothing more than what you’d find in a low quality dog food - I said it. I actually wouldn’t even feed this to my dog. This is not a cabbage roll. Sadly right into the compost they went ? what a waste of food, time and money. Not what we need on a busy Monday evening. i suppose we’re grabbing take out tonight ?.

Looked for years to find cabbage rolls that were anything similar to the ones my great grandmother baba made. Two years ago or so I came across Troika at Safeway and have bought ever since. The bacon and rice cabbage rolls are pretty close to what I had missed eating for too many years. Of course I prepare them the way baba prepared which varies from the tomato sauce in the preparation suggestion and they are always cut with a fork tender. But that is cooking; family recipes and tastes differ amongst people. Excellent product.

I'm a big foodie, so I try to be super objective about the foods I critique with my friends, family or on my social media. But I'm sorry, the beef cabbage rolls did not do it for me. First, I could barely find any particles of beef in the rolls. The rolls were tasteless and the cabbage was tough. I was willing to spend the extra money to support local and give these a try, but it just ended up being a very expensive lesson. Would not recommend.

I have been enjoying Troika Cabbage Rolls for years and we love them! Delicious!I do make my own cabbage rolls at home, but they are a lot of work. When I cook for a crowd,I buy Troika. They taste just like homemade and I add what I like to make them “my own”.Anyone who has made cabbage rolls knows that cabbage can sometimes take a little longer to fully cook through. I use a fork to test them and once the fork glides through a middle roll, they are cooked to perfection!

Cabbage rolls were GROSS. Nothing Ukranian about them. The cabbage was so tough not even my dog could chew through it. Should have read the other reviews before wasting my money. AVOID.

Bought the frozen ones. The cabbage was so chewy I had to spit most of it out. Won't buy them again.

Tried cabbage rolls with beef and rice and they were horrible. Very bland, felt like I'm eating boiled sourkraut because there was so little rice and I couldn't even taste or see beef (I followed slow cook recipe on the back of the box + added extra garlic and seasoning but it still didn't help to improve the taste). This is definitely not Ukrainian classic style and I highly doubt a true Ukrainian who knows the taste of REAL cabbage rolls would enjoy these. Don't want to give this company one star because maybe other products are better but this particular one is so bad that I wouldn't risk trying anything else.

I bought the Troika Rice and Beef Cabbage Rolls to enjoy over the Christmas holidays.Cabbage rolls were always a special treat in my family. We had them at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and at any other special occasion. Sometimes we would have cabbage rolls and coffee for breakfast!I was VERY disappointed with the Troika Cabbage Rolls! The cabbage to rice and beef ratio was out of whack - way too much cabbage. Also, the cabbage was very tough.Even after having been cooked for over twenty minutes, it was hard to cut.The rice was very mushy - it had no "bite" to it at all. I wondered if they used minute rice.I am used to robust cabbage rolls that can be easily cut into pieces and have much better texture.Scrap your recipes Troika and get back in the kitchen. Your customers deserve better!
