If I could give this bank a 0 for a rating I would but that's not possible. The app is slower than my grandma and she doesn't even have legs, and I can't believe how hard it is to send and receive money. And I don't even wanna get started on the management and customer service.

This has to be the worst bank in the world. You can’t even get into the bank because they locked the doors cause they’re scared of homeless people so you can’t do any banking in this place and it sucks.

I had made an appointment over the phone for the 27th of March to open a RDSP account in person. When I go into the branch I’m instantly told that they cannot open one up for me in the branch. Even though I was told that I could over the phone three times. They told me I had to call a certain number to open one. Then they say that they got new staff after question them.
Wouldn’t recommend this bank at all, they have absolutely no idea how to communicate effectively.
When I called later to send a formal complaint they then say “why cant you just do it over the phone instead” Some people actually like to be face to face with someone when they open their account. Clearly this branch wants to take the easy route out.

This is the worst branch I’ve visited. All the Filipino staff just sitting in a group and gossiping, unable to attend any phone calls. I’ve been calling this branch since 10 in the morning and now it’s 2pm (called them more than 50 times) and I got no other option than visiting them and to my surprise there was not even a single customer in this branch. Again standing in the branch I called them and with my own eyes saw them ignoring the call. When I tried confronting a girl she just didn’t listen and keep on interrupting me with her silly questions. They had more than enough staff if they wanted to help they would’ve helped but they chose not to by telling me that were fully booked. This is so ridiculous and unprofessional behaviour. I just hope these girls will get replaced with someone who actually wants to work and don’t just pass their time sitting free and wants to earn free money.

Everyone who works in the branch is incompetent. Offices are full of workers but they can’t help any of the 10 people waiting in line. 1 teller working. This is an ongoing issue every time I come into the branch. Will be transferring my mortgage and bank accounts elsewhere

Don't use this bank machine unless you don't want to see your money again.I'm a Simplii financial customer and as we have been told we can use the cibc bank machines.I went to this location on October 30th 2023 at 12:30 pm.I had just came back from the US and had some leftover US cash to deposit in the some of $1196.00 US.I put my card in and put the money in the deposit slot. And nothing happened no receipt and I was asked to exit and take my card from the machine.I went up to the bank teller and talked to the branch manager with no response. And told to call Simplii financial.I'm still waiting for my money and never going back to this bank again.Be forwarded!

This bank does absolutely nothing for small business. Between holding cheques for up to two weeks and not being able to issue a new debit card (due to expiry) without an appointment but can issue a regular debit card no issue. How does that make sense? CIBC is literally painful to deal with for business.

Terrible bank always a long wait tons of staff only 1 person working at a time in the middle of the day at 230pm...1 person decided it was lunch time when the line was out the door...

When experiencing financial hardships, shouldn't a bank and their staff try and help you? Not CIBC. Rude staff. Unwilling to help. They'll just kick you while you're down and tell you to get bent after charging you ridiculous amounts of money for a mistake that THEY made.
