I had a very bad experience with this car repair shop due to fraudulent and misleading charges. I was given an initial estimate, but when it came time to pay, the final bill was significantly higher with added charges that were never explained or authorized. After the initial check up of my car they gave $2000 estimate for a turbo charger replacement. But thank god I listen to my gut feeling and went to another mechanic in Edmonton they reviewed my car and luckily there was no turbo charge problem in my car and all repair was covered by the GM warranty. I saved $2000+ by not listing to econo lube owner(mechanic). I always do my car oil change here but will never visit here again. This place just want to grab money from others without proper diagnosis. On other side i asked owner of this location to get some other solution to save my money but he said “YOU CAN’T BARGAIN”. Buddy it’s my money after doing hard work you can’t say this to anyone if you are running your business since 35 years.
Your response is totally false, please go and check. I drop off my car in morning around 8:30 and appointment was for 1 hour only as per our initial conversation but you took more time to diagnose without informing me and nobody contacted me until 12:30. When i received the call you guys gave me estimate around 2200$ regarding turbo charger replacement which was diagnose by your mechanic and there was no further diagnose needed and you asked us to book an appointment to replace turbo charger. So STOP making people fool. Also GM found the issue within 30 minutes and confirmed that there is no turbo charger issue. Does it means you don't have enough knowledge on which part you need to replace.

Sometimes when a business has incredibly high reviews it raising some red flags but this place is honestly great.

Seriously, hands down, best place to go! They were all very knowledgeable, kind, and quick. They are my go-to place now! Highly suggest them!
I wrote this review three years ago, and I still would suggest econolube. They are truly a family run company and care for their customers.

I always get my oil change here, and I am extremely happy with the service!
But what prompted my review is I came in last Saturday with an engine code, and the mechanic shop was closed. Turns out my engine was misfiring. I was already made aware they couldn't do much; BUT THEY DID THE MOST! They read the code, looked under the hood, disconnected some fuel injectors, reconnected some injectors and were able to accurately diagnose which cylinder it was and the problem without even removing the intake that was in the way. Unfortunately I wasn't able to give them my money to fix it and had to go elsewhere that day, but with the write up they gave me; I was back on the road SAME DAY with their diagnosis all fixed up. Thank you, guys, seriously.
