I normally liked this location. Most of the girls are nice and helpful.However the other day I went to buy semi permanent hair day and developer and the older lady with longer grey/ purple toned hair came to bug me. After I told her I didn't really need help she proceeded to grab permanent gel hair color for me after I tild her i just wanted semi permanent brown dye. I thought I could trust her so I didnt double check this. My mistake there absolutely BUT normally you can trust people who work at these places.Not only did she grab permanent dye instead of Semi she also tried to prevent me from buying developer and told me "you don't need developer with gel dye"Not using developer with your color doesn't open the hair strands so your hair doesn't absorb the color. What you actually get is a patchy mess that'll rinse out in a wash or two and a waste of your money.So I insisted on buying the developer and I really wish I would have double checked the hair dye after she said all that. Actually I wish I had walked out.That was my sign she didn't know what she's talking about. It's also on Sally's website to use developer with the product she was selling me!So I won't be back. The west side is a nicer store usually and staff have never treated me this poorly.I urge people to avoid taking advice from the staff here

i’ve had several bad experiences at this location but today was the cherry on top. my mom and i went there for her birthday because she got a coupon and she wanted to use it and treat herself. well as soon as we walked in there a lady with short blonde hair instantly just started following us and staring at us. we were browsing for about 5 minutes and my mom had 4 things in her hand and the lady said “she had to take the items to the front for her”. then accused her of trying to steal. we did NOTHING for her to accuse us of this. we were browsing at nail products. i’ve NEVER had a staff member be so rude ever. do NOT buy from this location as they’re clearly trying to drive their customers out of the store. go to the location on the west end of edmonton on winterburn. staff is much more polite and respectful there. maybe if you’re gonna accuse every customer of stealing, close the store.

Wow, I was at Sally Beauty today and I was thrilled with the 4 for $30 haircare event! I saved over $34, it was like getting my products for half price! Thanks Karen for pointing out the sale, you are always super helpful!

They have no door for a reason. With an assistant manager like Arlea, it's no wonder. Don't shop here. The staff acts like they know what they are doing but will give you awful advice and make your hair look horrible like theirs.

Absolutely horrible customer service experience. After being sold product that made my hair way to dark, I tried dealing with it but the assistant manager Arlea became very rude and defensive to the point I had to defend myself. She treated me horribly and I stood up to her as she then decided to call me names and freak out and cause a scene. She has 2 complains filed on her with the field manager and is highly unprofessional. I will never return to such a horribly ran operation. Save your time and money folks!

I went to get myself some hair colour and I was greeted by 3 of the most amazing staff members. They helped me with what I needed but not pushy. Very knowledgeable, kind and lots of smiles. Even tho they were all wearing masks, there eyes sparked which showed me they were smiling. If I could get customer service like this all the time, I’d love it! Kudos to the staff that was working the afternoon of Sat, Jan 15th. If you only knew the grief I was feeling having to put my grandpa into palliative care that day. None of you did, you didn’t have too but just know that you made me feel so well taken care of in your store. And for that I thank you.

Very helpful & attentive staff. I was wanting clippers and left with a small barrel curling iron the IBS & Amazon said didn't exist. I got a chuckle that scissors were bolted down. The store was clean and I always enjoy the little creative gift packages that they put out to satisfy my impulsive shopping needs. A visit feels like a 15 minute hair show.

I had fun for a year with temporary colours and a few days a go I wished to go back to my natural colour. After contacting several salons in various cities I was quoted at $500 to $700 with no guarantee. Well, I cannot justify spending that much money on my hair so I went to Sally's Beauty Supplies and decided it was time for a little adventure.Arlea, Ashley, and their manager Sandy guided me with the process of bringing my hair back, I have to tell you these ladies went over and beyond their call of duty to help me. It took 4 different treatments to get me back to a decent normal colour, a few visit in person to see the lovely ladies, and several email exchanges. I could not have done this without their combined knowledge, team work, amazing costumer care, and through it all being very reassuring that each step was expected and not to panic as I went from purple to blue/purple/green to various green and orange on top to yellowish blonde with whisps of green to a reasonable brown shade which will require a few more colouring and cutting to have pretty hair again.TRUST THESE LADIES THEY KNOW THEIR PRODUCT.

I walked into Sally Beauty as a poor husband who had no idea what he was doing. My wife had spent $200+ at a hair salon the day before getting her hair coloured which had turned out to be a disaster. With her hair now a bright orange she was too embarrassed to go out in public to find a solution to her Ronald McDonald hairdo so she sent me.I don’t know about you but sending me out to fix anyone’s hair colour doesn’t sound like a wise choice to me. However, when I arrived at Sally’s with list in my hand and a confused look on my face the gals there were quick to come to my rescue. After getting a good understanding of the problem they even offered to call my wife on the phone for more clarification. They walked me through all of our options in a way that I could comprehend and offered some products to help. I ended up spending about 90% less than I thought I would.Sally’s gave me the best customer service experience I’ve had in ages. The staff here clearly care about their customers and you can see that their good service comes from the heart.

Horrible manager. Probably the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I went in to this store twice in one day to return faulty hair color. Obviously something was wrong with the formulation ( I have been using these colors for 3 years) the store manager Sandy argued that there can't possibly be a problem with it, even though I had the bowl of color in my hands in front of her face.I've been shopping here for 3 years and I've seen ALOT of staff retention, no surprise with a monster of a manager. I don't recommend shopping or working here. Horrible woman to deal with. Wow.

bought an ion, colour Brilliance product. I was told to just follow the directions on the package. The package said nothing about using a developer. The product didn't work. I went back to the store I bought it from, where they told me I should just know I needed to use a 20 developer and at the appropriate ratio.I went to another store where I was told almost the same thing and that I should have watched a YouTube videoThe lady fumbled with the package for a while and eventually found a spot hidden away in the corner where it said 1:1. From that she concluded that I should have known to use a 20 developer at a one-to-one ratio.Wasted money and my 13 year old girl hates Sally Beauty
