My son was in an accident in my car (2015 Tahoe) on January 11, 2024.
My car was towed to Boyd and I was told that it should be fixed by the middle of March. I had my rental covered until the end of February.
End of March came and they phoned to tell me they were waiting on parts and still working on it, but it should be done soon.
They phoned almost weekly to keep telling me they were still working on it. At some point I told the lady to stop calling me with ‘updates’ and just to phone me when it was finally done.
I got the phone call before July long weekend that it was done and could be picked up.
I picked it up Friday June 28th. When I got it home we immediately noticed the hood wasn’t sitting correctly. There were paint chips all over the newly painted parts. There were significant gaps and cracks between the seams of the whole front that was re built. The interior was filthy. They left cleaner in the car that spilt all over the back.
I took the car back to Boyd on July 2. The manager took notes, was apologetic and promised to rectify the issues as she agreed it was done incorrectly. She said that Boyd would pay for my rental from this time of drop off to pick up.
August 16 Boyd calls and says the car is ready. I go in to pick it up, it’s not perfect but way better than what it was. It’s cleaner. The hood still sits a bit off but they said it’s because it’s an after market hood. That’s understandable I guess.
When I inquired about the cost of the rental being repaid, I was told that they were working with the rental company I first used and paying the insurance company. I told them that I changed rental companies when my insurance ran out and had been paying out of pocket, so not to go that route. I was told that route would be easier but they’ll look into rectifying it.
It’s now October 28 and I still don’t have an update on being repaid.
The staff at Boyd is friendly but I can’t recommend this company after the issues I’ve had, and the fact I’m still waiting on them.

This is the second time I've taken my car to Boyd on an insurance claim. The work was excellent and customer service first class. They dealt directly with the insurance claim department and organized my car rental. It certainly took the stress on me out of the equation. Kudos to all!

They deserve 10 on 10. Very polite staff thanks to Olivia very soft spoken with lot of patience to answer all my calls. They could match the colour exactly like my new car. Whatever timeframe they promised car was ready before that. Thanks so much for an amazing work and customer treatment.

I’ve taken two vehicles there recently and both times I’ve felt like they were empathetic and that they really cared. It’s a tough pill to swallow when you need to spend thousands on repairs I got the sense that they genuinely cared. They were honest and had a way of giving me the news I didn’t want to hear in a way that made me feel confident I had taken it to the right place.

I’ve dealt with this company a few times and I’ve always been happy with the end result. They also cleaned the interior of my vehicle which was such a nice surprise! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again I just hope people stop running into me lol

Simply put, they refuse to honour their quote. I brought my vehicle in for an insurance claim and planned to have my windshield replaced at the same time. I was quoted significantly cheaper than the dealership. When I questioned the pricing I was assured it was correct. I received it in an email well. When I again expressed my concerns of it being “too good to be true” I was again assured and explained to why their prices were less. I brought my vehicle in on a Thursday and was contacted the next Wednesday (6 days later) saying that their glass company misquoted them, and in turn my quote no longer stood. Simply unacceptable. They did source another company that was less than the dealership, but still more than 3x the price of the quote I was reassured of multiple times. I escalated to the manager and was basically told “sorry, we won’t be doing anything”. Horrid service. Very untrustworthy

The team at Boyd Autobody & Glass were awesome to deal with. They kept in touch often throughout the whole process & were very informative with any questions I had. Huge shoutout, especially to Stuart! My jeep looks brand new again, thank you!

The most unprofessional and worst customer care I had a accident claim and was sent by my Insurance company to Boyd Auto As I was very busy just managed to squeeze a date and when I called them back They said that they can book me only one month from now .. I was driving by and went to request for an earlier date and the manager and staff all had the same attitude They supposedly offer a 10 year warranty on paper .. However I'm glad I did not go with them Lacks customer care and professionalism on every count

I just want to say a big thank you to Jamie, Mike and Crystal at Boyd Auto body and Glass in St Albert.
I brought in my little Smart Fortwo for some body work repair, from the moment we met the team at Boyd auto they were amazing their customer service is first class, very professional helpful and took the time to explain how the repair would be done and what the result would be, when I picked up my car I was amazed at how good the repair to my front bumper was good job to Mike. Also great price for the work completed.
I would highly recommend Boyd Auto body and Glass.
They not only met but exceeded
My expectations.
