If I could give no stars I would ... I am so beyond disappointed and angry with how my encounter at the bank was today. I came to the bank with my girlfriend to pick up a new credit card. The teller proceeded to ask me a bunch of personal questions if we were married, why I had money in my account and what I was spending it on. These were not questions that needed to be asked for the transactions needed , let alone needed the entire bank to know as she was practically yelling questions. My girlfriend and I are so beyond embarrassed and will never step foot in that bank again after being treated the way we were.

I dealt with a bank teller named Analu P. I was going in to split away from my families banking for the first time. So I’m not completely sure how all bank accounts work and all that. Any question I asked she made me feel dumb for not knowing what she meant even though she didn’t explain things very well. I asked to split away from my mom’s account to have my own completely separate account. I left with 2 new chequing accounts under my mom’s name still. Also my card no longer works because she didn’t explain to me that I needed my own account. So all in all she didn’t listen to my requests and left me in a worse spot than I went in with. Wish I could put zero stars

Good customer service does not mean only providing a smile to the client. It means to give them the reliable and accurate service. Today, in one transaction, I lost 8 dollars out of $141, which is roughly 6% due to the lack of clarity and poor service. Imagin you're dealing with hundreds of thousands, then 6% will be a lot.

I entered the Inglewood RBC branch because I had difficulty accessing our line of credit. Even though I entered the branch just before closing, Galina was more than willing to assist me. She patiently explained that RBC mortgages and lines of credit are inaccessible if the service is rendered in a different province. I felt overwhelmed and panicked trying to access the funds, but Galina successfully guided me through the process of setting up online banking (it was our first time trying to access our HELOC). I mentioned that the funds were for a final deposit for our contractor, and if possible, I could order the rather significant amount of cash that day for arrival on Friday. Galina said she would create a note and call me the following day if the cash arrived sooner than Friday.
The following day, as promised, Galina called me to let me know that the cash was at the branch and that I could pick it up when convenient. Her exceptional service truly stood out. Now that’s customer service!
Thank you, Galina. Your assistance was critical, and your patience was exemplary. We cannot thank you enough for your help in this stressful situation. Your dedication to your customers is truly commendable.

If you need a teller, expect to wait for 1-2 tellers to be helping the 10+ people in line ahead of you. I came back three times expecting that it might be better next time, and it never was. Abysmal.

Rude staff. The way they message each other through their computers and talk down to you. You work in a bank be more professional. Never had an issue before this branch now I've been twice.

Absolutely atrocious service system. Not a customer and was looking for a simple quick answer from an actual bank employee in regard to an account with RBC and the best the bank can come up with is an inefficient automated system that literally refuses to provide an option to speak with a person. Definitely keeping my accounts with TD.

Been with Royal Bank my whole life. Have had a mortgage through them since 2013.
Anyway just found out that Royal Bank wasnt paying my property tax when it's been through my mortgage since I bought my house. They said they let me know but I went to the bank and said I have no emails or anything and all that was on file was they left me a voicemail in July of 2021, so I haven't paid property tax since then and have been charged a crazy amount of penalties and interest which has accumulated a lot.
I don't understand how they can just send a voicemail and not keep calling to try to get me to come into the bank and sign something stating I understand they are not paying my property tax. Just doesn't make sense to me that they wouldn't keep trying to call
Thanks Royal Bank. I've been dealing with you for 20+ years

I’m happy to say my banking experience was very good this morning. My teller Kathleen greeted me from the front door, helped me with three transactions. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was I need to return tomorrow to complete a transaction I expected to complete today.

It feels like this bank is run by students. Long lines and wait times. The manager seems impatient with the inability of his staff. It is evident that the tellers are either inexperienced and unfamiliar with basic processes.

I would give it 0 if possible.TL:DR Held an e-transfer but gave it to my wife because it's "digital cash".I said I would help a buddy who was stuck out of town to buy his dream hobby car.He etransfers it, I go to withdraw it, am told no because it's new and "digital cash".Transfered to the wife because there is no hold on etransfers and she goes into the same branch to withdraw the money.Explained this to the customer service line and they opened an investigation. Seriously, this branch is the worst banking experience you can find.

Ever since they renovated this location it’s gone downhill. The atmosphere of the open useless space isn’t welcoming. Staff standing by those strange little pods and then the restaurant booth in the back are just weird. Every time I go in I get someone new so must be lots of turnover.
