My niece was visiting from BC and I took her to this location to get runners. It started out good with a young lady helping us and then this young lady just seemed to stop helping her with runners and we could see her standing not too far away with her scanner but no longer interested in helping her. I was not impressed as I thought it was rude and had it been me I would have left and taken my business else where. I ended up helping my niece and she managed to buy two pairs of runners.

Great place to come and waste time since they have one person helping in shoes. information on website is also incorrect and information in store on their machines is wrong. Thank you Sport Chek for reminding me why I never shop there.

Sounds like many customers have had the same poor experience like me , from the same Individual over the past year. I was looking to buy a pair of Asics runners, more specifically special pairs that they make for wider feet . A sales associate ( Asian gentlemen with long hair ,forgot his name but I remember specifically his title of sales associate , more on that peice to come why I say this .). First point of contact between him and I was by him saying “ what size “. No hello or did I need anything …. Yikes .. off to a poor start. I asked him if any of the asics had an option of a wider foot shoe . He replies “ none here in “ my store “. Then rambles about non sense of how “ his store” only has these certain types of shoes etc etc . Next I was just curious as my previous pair I had with wide feet were purchases at west end sportchek. Again he continues to say “ not in my store , west ed sportchek. is the biggest store in Canada. He used “ my store “ so many times that is why I had to double check his name tag if it had store manager on it ! Sounds like many customers have had a problem with this guy but yet he still has a job there. He kept on rambling about non sense to me about his store , I stopped listening and said thank you and walked out. Would just like this store to acknowledge the multiple poor reviews of this guy and see how it’s affecting some of their poor ratings . Thanks !

Worst customer service. Went there to purchase 3 bikes on april 2 no one was helping us for about 10 mins. Fast forward we ordered our bikes and told us the bikes will be ready on Monday ( april 7 ) at 6 pm (cause they need to assemble it). Monday came we went to pick up the bikes and told us it was not ready. No communication or updated at all. They said tomorrow it will be ready (Tuesday) at 4pm. once again we went there (take note we’re from West edmonton) as i walk the store the lead and the mullet haired guy we’re chatting when we approached the center immediately the lead went to the back and start unboxing bike. Talked to the mullet haired guy . When we asked for the bikes for godsakes it is still not ready. He didn’t even have the balls to tell us that the bikes were not ready but instead disappeared in thin air. The lead who’s unboxing our bikes was the one told us that the bikes are still not ready. It’s just frustrating that they don’t do update or follow up. Poor communication i’d say. At the end we got all our bikes Thursday.

I love SportsCheck stores in general. This one ai feel doesn't have as much as other stores in Edmonton but it is stilk good.

Conner had helped me out with a purchase of a bike, he was super knowledgeable and wanted to help. He search high and low for other products I wanted and went above and beyond for me.

They had jackets on clearance, and when I wanted to pay the prices on the tags, they wouldn't charge me because they said the prices were wrong.I think it's really bad since those items are on clearance and in the end out of 3 jackets they charged me more and one they didn't ask to sell because of the wrong price they set.The manager just told me I can and I charge. The truth is what a disappointment

Snuck in just before closing last night to buy a bike for my nine-year-old, who finally gets to ride in a neighborhood after living on an acreage his whole life. The staff there was so supportive and helpful. They even stayed late to make sure the bike was safe before we took it home. Thanks, Anthony and crew.

The only advantage a big box store has over Amazon is customer service. However, the staff here won’t even offer any assistance if you’re looking around right beside them for 10 minutes.

Got to the counter with my overpriced footwear. I see they are busy talking about breaks. I take the time to position my service dog, put my purchase on the counter, still talking about breaks. I give it about ten more seconds and none of the three employees have acknowledged me. I'm the only customer. I left my purchase and walked, and at no time did they acknowledge I was there. Terrible. Amazon gets this sale.

Understaffed, boxes and merchandise lying around, employees don’t have independence or control to help in departments that are overwhelmed. Not impressed.

Bought a very expensive pair of Yaktrax and only used them a couple times. 6 out of the 12 spikes are gone! Of course I have no receipt anymore so I'm sol. Definitely not worth the money.
