The Forgotten Walmart of Stettler
If there were an award for “Most Likely to Have Been Frozen in Time,” this Walmart would win—unopposed. It’s the forgotten sibling of the Walmart family, the one no one checks on but somehow keeps going.
Medium-sized pants? Practically an endangered species. If you manage to find a pair, you should probably buy a lottery ticket because the universe is clearly on your side.
The checkouts are vintage—as in, old enough to qualify for a museum exhibit. I half-expected someone to hand me a paper punch card.
The washroom was dated but clean. It gives “1990s mall restroom,” but in a nostalgic, almost comforting kind of way.
Overall, it’s a quirky little adventure… but let’s be honest: this place needs a major upgrade. A glow-up. A renovation montage. Something. Until then, it remains Stettler’s very own Walmart time capsule.

We stopped for groceries and camping supplies for our stay at Ol’McDonald’s Resort at Buffalo Lake. Walmart had everything we were looking for! And their people were helpful finding a few of the items we needed!

Staff are so friendly and helpful! They never have enough cashiers working though, and the lines are quite often long. Some stuff can be out of stock every time I go if it's on the weekend (chips, pop, etc)

Great place to shop if you know what your looking for the isles are wide and have lots of room to maneuver around other people .The staff is friendly and very helpful if you need assistance and you can find almost everything you will ever need at a Walmart.

Went shopping there yesterday morning, bought some men’s clothing, package was sealed and said XL. I get home andWhen I opened the package it was all medium instead.I called cause I know all sales are final I explained the situation, the lady said yes u can exchange cause it was a manufactured product mistake. I drive the 40min back to Walmart and then customer service didn’t wanna take it back and accused me of switching the men’s clothing. They treated me like I did something wrong. The other staff just stood there as I was trying to explain what happened.Great way to treat your customers!

Our Walmart is usually pretty decent considering we are in a smaller town. However yesterday my step dad fell in your glare ice parking lot and really injured himself!!! Why are you not sanding your parking lot before opening like other grocery stores in town????
