“I cannot say enough good things about ACC Strathmore. I only take my animals there now, and they are willing to help with almost all animals, depending on who is available to see them.
When it was time to say goodbye to our 15.5 year old husky, I had heard wonderful things from other people in the community to arrange it with ACC and that you didn’t have to do it the “traditional” way of walking your dog through the clinic and adding that extra stress in an already stressful and emotional situation.
I called ahead and arranged to give our girl sedation at home prior to her euthanasia appointment. I brought her to the ACC in the back of my SUV in a cozy bed, so I know she was comfortable and calm the whole time. I drove around to the back and the vet came out and was so kind and compassionate and explained everything to me and gave her the medicine to put her to sleep. I could not have imagined a better way to say goodbye giving our girl the dignity she deserved.
Dr. Jodi was so wonderful to accommodate the euthanasia of our hedgehog many years ago, saving us an expensive trip to Calgary to the exotic vet, and little things like that have meant the world. Many of their vets have been willing to see my chickens and ducks, and most recently helped me with a goose, and I could not be more happy with the care, kindness and willingness to help me and my family out with the care of all our animals.”
