I collected a prescription related to an upcoming surgical procedure. When the pharmacist asked the date of the surgery, I misheard and disclosed the type of procedure instead—one I preferred to keep private. She clarified that she had only asked for the date, which left me deeply embarrassed.
As I moved to another aisle to pick up vitamins, I overheard the same pharmacist speaking loudly to a colleague, disclosing the type of procedure I was having and expressing surprise that I had been prescribed one of the medications without, apparently, having been informed by my surgeon what it was for or why I needed it.
Do not expect that patient confidentiality means anything the staff working in the Sylvan Lake Walmart pharmacy.

What would be really awesome is if they didn't unplug all the price scanners right before a huge sale. There are sections that are 75% off mixed with items that are 50% off yet no way to check prices. Had a cart full I wanted to check prices to see if I wanted ended up leaving everything and walking out. I literally checked every scanner in the store not one in operation and it's says to use the app well not helpful as that's website price and most items would not come up.
