Nice little motel. We were a little worried booking here but we were pleasantly surprised. Rooms and motel were a little dated, but clean and comfy. The old furnace was a little loud but other than that no complaints. Would stay here again.

Great place. Beautiful rooms, comfortable and very clean. Good parking. Nice and quiet. Glad we found this place.

Ended up stuck in Viking due to snow and needed a room for the night. The wonderful lady at the front desk was an absolute joy while she got us checked in. Our room was very reasonably priced, clean and had the most amazing heater! There was also a fridge and microwave provided along with coffee amenities. When we went out to leave in the morning, we discovered that they had shoveled everyone a path in the snow to their car doors. Highly recommend!

Tidy rooms. The heat was a bit hard to control but we figured it out. The beds were a bit on the hard side but we slept fine in the end. We could definitely hear the people walking above us but there was no issue since they went yo bed at a similar time. It was fine, just not perfect. We would stay again.

This place was perfect for a short stay. Room was very neat, clean towels, and a supply of coffee. Front desk had me checked in quickly. I would highly recommend this motel.

We were planning to come in later at night and this was no problem at all..we were greeted with a smile. Rooms are really dated..but clean! A/C was welcomed!For the price I would definitely stay again!

I work all over western Canada. I’m also not opposed to staying in small towns. While most oil and gas workers would pass by this small town. I’ve found it to be absolutely amazing. This hotel is old. You can’t argue that. But it’s amazingly clean. And I lean amazing. The family that runs it is friendly and curious. I’ve also heard they’ve been in this community for decades. I would stay here again on an instant. Wonderful place. Great food in town as well if you know where to find it. Great job Lamplighter. A perfect place to relax when off work. Thank you.

The motel is clean, we had a coffee maker, microwave and fridge in our room. The beds were hard but fine for night. Over priced for what you get.

Honestly the place is a dive. Our hockey team stayed here as they do for the past 5 years. Felt that they established a great relationship until this weekend. This place sucks the people who own it are unreasonable ppl. Go up the rd to the pub/hotel The guy there is so friendly and it is brand new looking. But support him, he is just a great. Lamplighter is dirty, cold, the fridge freezes your food. Beds feel like ply wood. Shower went cold. Power went out in some of our rooms. Wifi sucks cogerette burns on the comforter. Wont ever go back. I will go support the guy up the road at the pub. Super friendly guy.
