Neat place to visit, LOTS to look at and all the wares are very nicely displayed. Downside - it’s cash only (heard someone say the ATM is set to $7/withdrawl - which is awfully high….) AND some pretty steep product pricing (even for a tourist area) makes it a little hard to swallow…. That said - the ice cream was really good, waffle cone was crisp and what I’d expected, and the candy and fudge looked delicious. I’d come back for another cone after a good hike in the park.

Pie and Coffee! Most amazing service from the owner. Saskatoon berry pie was delicious, generous helping of vanilla ice cream on top. Dark road coffee was also fantastic. We’ll be coming back for sure.

My mother and I had an amazing experience getting coffee this morning, and we were delighted. The shop owner was outstanding and the service was very inviting. Would highly recommend!

I never write negative reviews, especially for small businesses that are trying to make a living.. But this place is horrible!! Do not go to this place. Their coffee sucks.. Pastry is OK. Cash only. They will overcharge you. The lady 'sounds' sweet but she's just scamming you. I AVOID AVOID AVOID.

This is a tourist trap. Don't go.Similar to the numerous other one-star commenters, this shop is cash only and the USD exchange rate is 1 USD per 1 CAD, instead of the $1.33 CAD actual exchange rate. Making things worse, your change for USD cash is CAD money worth just 0.75 per USD. The young girls behind the counter were too busy talking to promptly help. When they finally did help, asked to recommend a native Canadian candy, they suggested Twix, a Mars product from USA. Three Canadian candies cost CAD $18.75. A quadruple ripoff: 1. USD cash exchange rate.2. CAD change for USD payment.3. Crappy service.4. Overpriced candy.Don't go.

We went in to the chocolate shop but things looked pretty dirty and gross so I didn’t let my kids get anything. We went next door to get a coffee. The lady didn’t tell me until after she poured my coffee and I was handing her my card that they only accept cash. She was pretty awkward and super rude. My kids and I felt uncomfortable so we left. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return- there are other places to get a probably better tasting coffee!

To be honest, I echo prior reviewers in that the chocolate shop looks dusty, stale and overpriced, but I really wanted a piece of fresh pie and the pie shop did not disappoint. Had strawberry rhubarb and the pastry was super fresh and delicious. In the pie shop I’d stick with the pie, though, the other items didn’t look as enticing or fresh. Tea was fine. It’s pricey, but everything in Waterton is. The cash-only requirement is well posted in a few spots so you can’t miss it. Frustrating, but if you don’t want to pay cash there are other options in town that take cards. I can’t speak to others’ exchange rate concerns as I paid in CDN. The proprietor was very friendly and considerate when I was there.

We stopped in for some chocolate. Prices were absolutely insane two pecan turtle type chocolates they charged my daughter $25.00. The chocolate tastes waxy and wasn’t good at all. Cash only and think they are just ripping peopleoff.

This is a tourist trap!! Prices are extremely expensive. Spent $120 for 5 ice creams and some chocolates. Plus they only take cash but have a shady ATM inside that looks like it skims cards. Do not go here. Go across the street to Beaver Tails and get things for half price. Avoid this place at all costs!! Bloody con artists!!!

Cash only is stupid in 2023. Their prices were insane even for waterton, $13 for a small bag of sesame snaps that were old and stale. Basically everything is stale and priced through the roof. I would only buy ice cream here. The employees look miserable working here and I would too, it was so extremely crowded and clustered, not a good experience at all. It looked cute in the places where it wasn’t over clustered and most things looked good, even though they weren’t. I got multiple things that looked good but they did not taste it, so disappointed after spending over $41 for candy.

If you are american and visiting Canada and only carry USD, stay away!! Claimed she accepts USD so we paid with a $50 USD but she treats it as $50 CAN so we got ripped off a whole $20 USD.... other than that the ice cream isn't half bad. But fraud is. And no credit cards accepted.

Not a good place. Two issues of note. They make big ice cream scoops, don't pack it down for stability, then hand it to you BEFORE you pay. When the scoop falls off with the slightest movement to get your money (mine fell to the floor) they say "you will need to pay again for another scoop....." So instead, I went next door to the pie shop and got a cookie. Told the cashier what happened next door and they said "it happens all the time." So if you must get ice cream here, insist they hold it until you pay and walk very carefully out the door with it. They are banking on you to drop it. We also experienced the same money scam mentioned in other reviews. They charge you same price in us v Canadian dollars, round up, then give you change in Canadian change. This is the only bad experience we had in this great little town. Go elsewhere if you can

This is a cash only place, but they have an ATM available. Prices seem pretty high but this is a touristic place/ area. I don’t mind paying extra if I get good service which wasn’t the case today. There was no greeting when we walked in. The young lady at the ice cream counter was pretty shy (which is fine) she did answer all our questions (she gets the *), however at the checkout counter the lady was like a bulletproof door. She should be working in a prison and not in a candy store ! This is not what people walk-in for. It should be a pleasant experience from entry to exit. I’m not sure if she is the owner or what but if she is she will not last long, if she isn’t, the owner should pay a visit more often to see how their patrons are treated.Ice cream cup with 2 scoops was $9.95 , small licorice bag $6.95.Ice creams tasted okay.

Candy stores should be a magical place. The Les dispenser collection is cool. I almost tried to buy one but noticed a tiny sign that said the ones on the ceiling or near the ceiling were not for sale. They could make it more apparent that those dispensers are display only. Also, Make it easier for parents to pay instead of them having to use the ATM and get charged with nearly $5 in fees between the store fee and bank fees. The atmosphere of being surrounded by the candy is pretty cool, but take some pressure off your employees and accept credit card already. The premium you charge on candy should more than cover the cost of getting a debit/credit card machine and will likely bring in more money because people won’t turn away at the door because of the cash only sign.

So this business says they're cash only and claims that they take American dollars but then when you go to check out, they will try to rip you off by requiring the same price in American dollars as Canadian dollars. Canadian dollars are worth significantly less than American dollars. This is a really dishonest business practice, and should not be allowed. Beware of their lies.In order to not be ripped off, you will have to use an ATM they have and pay ridiculous ATM fees. Zero stars.
