Family of 6 visiting, great interactive experience for the kids. Plus was the sand box with all the fossils the kids could find. The elevator was currently out of service, but the building was clean and not crowded,The gift shop was pricey. Admission price was fair for all that came with the tour and exhibits that were open for viewing.Kids loved the kids dome and the laboratory look out.

The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum hosted my friend’s birthday party of 20 people. The room was clean and well decorated. The food was themed with Dino-nuggets, fries and veggies –a rather simple offering yet appealing to the little ones, so it was perfect. The highlight of the party was not so much the museum itself, it was our host and presenter, Nic. He brought out Peanut, a garden snake and Mack the tortoise. He allowed all the children to handle the animals and gave a fantastic presentation of the creatures. You can tell he cares dearly for these reptiles and his knowledge of them was extensive as well as his knowledge of dinosaurs. No question from the children went unanswered. I and the rest of the guests in attendance were fully immersed in what he was teaching us and we found the facts absolutely fascinating.I highly recommend visiting Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum on any occasion and if you happen to have Nic as a host/presenter you will be in for a treat.

My friend and I visited this little museum on a whim and were not disappointed! While it's not large, there are some great displays and lots of good educational information about Alberta's fossils and even a bit about Alberta's oil fields. The little cafe was great! The service was fast and friendly and the food was great. The gift shop had SO many things and everything was very reasonably priced. If you ever make a trip to northern Alberta, I highly recommend visiting this fun little museum (and if you have kids, they'll love the outdoor playground!) It's just south of Beaverlodge (which, since you're in the area anyways, you really should stop and visit the giant Beaver!)To the gentleman who was running the ticket area and gift shop, and to the wonderful waitress working this weekend, THANK you for making our trip fun!

Not bad, was expecting quite a bit more in the building. Exhibits are great, the kids play area outside is quite large and there's plenty of parking.

Was a really neat experience. We have teen/adult children and they all enjoyed it as much as I'm sure young ones do. Really educational. I would recommend going on a weekday though as we went on a weekend and the lab wasn't open so we weren't able to see the actual fossils being worked on etc. But still absolutely worth while. And the cost isn't nearly what I expected. It was really reasonable.

Fun museum with some really neat exhibited dinos. Had a few hands on spots for our son and he was very excited for the lab tour. A bit smaller than we were thinking, but we still enjoyed the museum, the theatre and the playground outside. The conservation room was a bit underwhelming, but the displayed animals were neat to see and size compare.

Very educational and fascinating. You would need a couple of hours to cover the walk through .... well organized with live working workshop ... kids "bone bed" that even adults can have fun. Theater, cafeteria, and gift shop included.

4 stars for the museum itself, very kid and wheelchair friendly. The restaurant was overpriced as you’d expect at locations such as these. I didn’t tip a large amount because I was quite shocked at the total for a burger and chicken nuggets and I had already spent $300 at the gift shop just to hear her scoff to her employees about it. It’s just awkward. Pay your employees a living wage and stop expecting customers to do it. It’s just awkward and outdated.

None of the screens are working, everytbing is broken or about to break, terrible stock in gift shop, staff had minimal knowledge and seemed rushed when approached… some of the worst reptile care I have seen. The building is filthy as well as bathrooms. Fossils out unsupervised in areas. So sad to see this place so decrepit as it has so much potential to be a great place to visit in GP…This place used to be great.

We've been coming to the museum since it first opened. Each time we come more and more interactive aspects are no longer functioning. It would do the museum well to fix or remove them. Touch buttons for nothing to work or building the dinosaur skeleton with broken piece takes away from the experience. I'm sure the upkeep is pricey but it's necessary. We really like the musuem and it's a bummer to not have it fully functioning
